He handed Mars the keys.

"Give them back when you're done? Also, the boiled eggs in the fridge are for you--you can take them with."

He snatched them from his hands, laying his clothes on the table.

"Don't you dare even think about touching my clothes." He warned, shaking his finger at Priestly. "I will kill you."

He walked down to the car and grabbed his bags all before he finally completely realized what Priestly had said. When he walked back inside, he set his things on the table, hesitating slightly.

"...where did you get boiled eggs?"

"I made them," he said simply, shrugging. "Figured you'd want a snack in the car when you woke up."

He sighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose. Why had he known that would be the answer?

"...I'll stay as long as you promise to never do that again." He grumbled.

"Will you promise to help me instead?" he asked seriously. "Not that you have to say yes."

"Of course I'm not going to promise that!" He snapped angrily. "That's...disgusting. Are you going to just make my promise or not?!"

"Yes," he said, nodding. "But I do have to finish. Otherwise it won't go down." Even though that was pretty much a lie, he showed no signs of being anything but dead serious.

"Fine, then I'm going out for a while." He grumbled angrily. "I'll be back in a few minutes."

"You won't help?" he asked, sitting up. "But it would go so much faster that way."

He just gave Priestly a look and then walked outside, slamming the door behind him.

Obviously, the answer was no.

Completely confused, Priestly zipped up his pants and opened the door.

"Mars?" he called. "Did I say something wrong?"

Mars jumped, having not expected Priestly to follow him.

"What are you doing out here?! Hurry up and just...hurry up!" He insisted, crossing his arms.

"But I'd be so grateful if you came back inside," he said, smiling pleasantly. "If you want to chastise me, that's okay too--I just enjoy your company."

He frowned deeply.

"No, not if you're going to..." He swallowed, frowning deeper. "No."

"Why not?" he asked. "We're both men."

"That's is exactly why the answer is no!" He hissed. "I refuse to be anywhere near you when you do things like that!"

"Why, does it excite you?" he asked, unable to suppress a grin.

Mars smacked him in the jaw.

"Shut up! Leave me alone." He grumbled angrily.

He rubbed his jaw, the smile gone.

"I just happen to think that you're cute when you enjoy yourself. It's not a crime to like someone--nor is it a crime to want only the best for them."

"It is when you're concerned!" He insisted, crossing his arms. "...Besides, who said you were allowed to dictate what's right for me? So stop being a jerk about it."

"Fine, fine," he said, holding up his hands in surrender. "Would you prefer if I acted a little selfish? You seem to rather enjoy that, actually."

"I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about." He replied, avoiding looking at Priestly still. "As long as it doesn't affect me, I don't really care."

"Of course it involves you," he said, grinning wolfishly. "I only want you, Marsy."

Mars sighed heavily.

"...The answer is no." He said quietly, but he opened the door to their room and walked back inside, sitting on the edge of the bed. "So stop asking."

Priestly closed to door.

"Lay down," he said; it wasn't a question.
