Mars and Priestly Eat Breakfast

"Mars?" called Priestly, sitting up in his bed. He turned on the light, and tried to look as though he had been awake the whole time.

"Come on in, Mars. I was just reading."

Mars sniffled as he walked into the room, pulling up his nightgown around his thighs and using it as a tissue.

"I don't feel good, can you make me breakfast?" he asked, his nose all stuffed up as he spoke.

Priestly smiled, patting the bed next to him.

"Does someone need a spot of cold medicine?" he asked, putting away the unopened magazine. "Perhaps some tea?"

"I wants Eggs Benedict," he replied as he sat on the bed. He sniffled again.

"Spot of cold medicine it is," he replied with a chuckle, slipping out from under the covers. Completely naked, he walked into the bathroom, returning with a small cup of something pink and syrupy.

"Open up, Marsy, here comes the train."

Mars was too sick to complain about the nudity, so he just took the cup from him and held his nose as he drank, hoping his tastebuds were dead. He made a face as he swallowed.

"Can I have eggs now?"

"Lay down," he insisted. "I'll make you some tea, and then I'll make me some coffee, and then maybe I'll see about those eggs."

"No, I don't want to lay down," he insisted, standing up just to prove his point. "I'm fine."

"Lay down, or no eggies for breakfast," he insisted. "We can just cuddle naked all morning with no food."

"No!" he shouted. "I don't want to cuddle naked, that's gross, I just want eggs!"

He pouted as he laid down, crossing his arms.

"You're stupid."

"Does Marsy want to stay here, or watch TV in the living room?" he asked, kissing him on the forehead.

"Let me dieeee," he insisted dramatically, sneezing into his sleeve. "Iiiii don't like this, Priestlyy."

"Then perhaps I should kiss it out of you," he said, sitting on the bed again. "I've kissed away colds before, you know."

"You'll get sick, stupid," he replied, sniffling. He didn't have much energy to argue, however.

"Do you want me to?" he asked, stroking Mars's cheek. "It's either that, or you be a good boy."

Mars pouted.

"I'll only be good if I get eggs."

"But to get eggs, you have to be a good boy first," he insisted, patting him on the head.

Mars tried to bite his fingers.

"No!"

He leaned close, making a kissy face.

"Then prepare to be a bad boy!"

"No!" he shrieked, pushing him away weakly.

Priestly climbed on top of him and kissed both his cheeks, making exaggerated noises as he did so.

"Naughty boys get kisses!" he declared, laughing. "Eggs and peace are only for good boys."

Despite himself, Mars found himself laughing loudly even as he tried to push Priestly away.

"Stop!" he insisted, to no avail.

He tickled Mars neck and climbed off of him, patting him on the head.

"There! Now if you want more, stop being a silly boy and come lay on the couch. You'll be able to smell the eggs as I cook."

Trying to pout, Mars gathered up the blankets and carried them to the couch, where he bundled himself up.

Priestly pulled on a robe and made his way to the kitchen, his hands in his pockets.

"How would you like your eggies, Mars?!" he called, turning on the stove and the coffee maker.
