"You knew this would happen," Addock insisted, as if it relieved him of any blame for the situation. "This is your fault."

"You're welcome to stay here, and we can just be friends."

He wrapped his arms around Stephen.

"That's what we are," he replied, uncertain even as he spoke. "Just friends."

"Fuck-friends," he corrected with a grin, kissing him on the lips. Though he sounded convinced, he prayed it wasn't true. There was something deep inside his cheating, unscrupulous heart that wanted Addock, and badly.
