WHY WAS IT SO HARD TO NAME THIS GUY

He picked her up and nuzzled her affectionately.

"I'll miss you, Vani."

She nuzzled him back.

"I'll miss you too. So. Much. I will die." She emphasized her words a dramatically, wiggling her fingers. "Also, I won't be able to put on pajamas by myself."

"I'll only be gone an hour. You can wait until I get back."

She nodded.

"I'll be naked and dead."

"...Why will you be naked?" He asked, confused.

"These clothes aren't comfy," she said, shrugging.

After glancing at his watch to make sure he had time, he asked, "Would you like me to change you into pajamas before I leave?"

She shook her head.

"It's too early," she replied, already reaching up her skirt.

"If you say so." He shrugged slightly. "I'll be back in an hour."

She tossed off her panties; they landed on top of a flowery plant.

"Okay--I'll die without you."

He sighed.

"Goodbye, Vani."

She nodded, pulling her dress over her head.

"Goodbye. Forever."

Sighing slightly, he slipped out the door.

Slightly embarrassed, Theo didn't return to the house until about three hours later.

"Vani, I'm back."

A bloodied, naked corpse hung from the ceiling, the head half-way severed off. Blood streamed from the eyes and mouth, and the hair was a matted mess. Torn, blood-soaked body parts were strewn about the room.

The only thing missing was a pair of eyes.

Theo stared at the grotesque mess with a surprising amount of calmness. Despite this, he grabbed a chair and stood on it, so he could get the blood soaked corpse down.

"Vani, are you able to respond?"

Her head made a gurgling noise as he disturbed the body, but beyond that there were no signs of life.

He was excruciatingly careful as he took her body and set it on the couch.

"Vani..." He said, completely to himself.

She suddenly jerked to life, gasping dramatically.

"...Not enough...Theo...so cold..."

"This shouldn't kill you, but I need to get you blood so you can regenerate." He said calmly.

"...Too late," she croaked.

"No, it isn't." He said adamantly. "Wait so I can get you some blood."

She took a huge, dramatic gasp and stopped moving.

He stood up and retrieved the blood from their fridge, tearing a hole into the package as he poured it into her mouth.

"Drink, Vani."

Some of the blood spilled out of the gash in her throat, but most of it made it to her stomach; color returned to her cheeks and her head fused back to the rest of her body.

"You suck, Theo."

"I'm sorry I was gone so long." He said, looking somewhat sheepish about everything.
