"Tell me, what's worse then eternal damnation?" he asked suddenly, looking into Mars's eyes.

"What? I..." he hesitated. "Well...nothing. There's nothing worse than that."

"Exactly," he said, nodding approvingly at the answer. "So if you're already going to hell for something already, why not be as bad as you like? You've got nothing to lose, right?"

He swiftly strode to where Mars sat and sat on his lap, grinning.

"Why not make the ride there really, really fun?"

"B-because!" he sputtered, though he didn't really have a conducive counterargument yet. "Because...because I...I don't...know. Because it's just...stupid! I...I mean, I...what if I try to repent! I mean, I do try to repent! I don't want to have more to deal with...you're bad enough, now get off my lap!"

"No use repenting for small things," he chided, booping Mars on the nose. "If you're going to go to a confessional, have something juicy to tell the priest."

He grabbed Mars's hand and placed a single lipsticked kiss on his wrist.

"Like fucking a male stripper in drag and enjoying every second. I'd want to hear exciting things like that, if I was a priest."

"I'm not enjoying this!" he squealed, despite his squirming and obvious shudder. "If I were a priest, I'd be appalled! I'd, I'd have me excommunicated! I...I can't...I can't even go to a confessional to confess...this...I...I just..."

He bit his lip, silencing his stutters.

"Then how about you skip the confessional, and just keep the part where you enjoy it?" he chuckled, caressing Mars's face. His hand made his way down his neck, then his chest, and finally to the button on his jeans.

"H...haven't you done enough to me?" he asked, looking away from Priestly. "Do you have to make it even worse...?"

He kissed Mars's neck, covering the skin in lipstick marks.

"Do you really despise pleasure that much?"

He bit his lip, tightening his grip on Priestly's clothes.

"...yes," he mumbled.

"Then why is it that you love everything I've done to you?" he whispered, nuzzling his cheek. "It sure seems odd, don't you think?"

Mars grew silent, staring at the floor. What did he say? The truth? A lie? it was stupid no matter which he said. It didn't matter, he supposed. Either way, it wouldn't make Priestly stop.

He unzipped Mars's pants, standing up so he could yank them down. Then he pulled down Mars's underwear, not even flinching at the sight of his exposed penis.

"You really are enjoying this, huh?" he cooed, kissing Mars on the forehead.

"Don't," he insisted, shoving Priestly away suddenly. "I don't care what you do, just...don't...pretend you care."

"Pretend I care about what, sugar?" he asked, frowning. "I don't lie often, you know--you're thinking of criminals, not sex workers."

"About me!" he snapped. "Why would you care? You don't. I don't...get it, I don't get why you're doing this at all, humiliating me like this...I don't know why you're doing it but don't pretend like it's for me because it's not."

"If you're absolutely sure you won't enjoy it, I'll stop," he said seriously. "I'll never touch you like this again--we can just be friends.

"The only reason I persist is because you seem to so desperately crave being touched."

"We can't be friends!" he shouted, shaking his head. "You don't get it, do you? You don't get it at all! I don't like you, and you don't even care about me! I don't...I don't even know why we're in this situation! I don't...I don't get why you insist on coming into my life. Rhode and you both..."

He grinned.

"I came into your life because we met, silly--don't you believe in fate? I thought you religious types are all about that."

"You know that's not what I mean!" he shouted angrily. "It...if it was fate, it's just another test. That I've failed."

"What if it's more than a test?" he asked. "Or better yet--what if God's wondering when you'll finally get laid like a real man? Who are you to decide what God wants to test you on, hmmm?"

"You're just...you're just manipulating me," he grumbled. "So that I'll sleep with you."

"If you don't want me to sleep with you, I won't," he said with a shrug. "I'm only trying to press a point because you seem like you'd really enjoy it. God wants you to be happy anyway, right?"

"God wants me to be normal!" he shouted suddenly. "And then I'll be happy! That's how it works! It's the reward! But I...I..."

He frowned.

"...why even bother? You won't believe me."

"I'm not normal and I'm happy as a clam," he said, winking. "How do you figure that, Mister Priest-in-training?"

He wrapped an arm around Mars's shoulder.

"It's okay, you can talk--you don't have to explain yourself to me, but if you want to I'm a good listener, sugar."
