"Sleazy" Is Every Lawyer's Middle Name

"Fine."

He waited for them to bring his food, and ate quickly and quietly.

Stephen guffawed obnoxiously.

"Wow, you really are a faggot, huh? I didn't even have to threaten you. Good. I'll be there."

"I just want you to leave me alone. I don't need you badgering me further," he replied. Addock stood up when he was done. "I am paying, aren't I?"

Stephen bit his lip, frowning.

"If you let this become a regular thing, I'll pay. I have money."

Addock wasn't sure he had heard Stephen right. In fact, he was positive he hadn't.

"What?" he asked, unable to believe what he had just heard.

"I get bored, okay?" he lied. "It's the only downside of always winning. I need something to do, a new hobby."

Addock needed money, but he didn't dream of prostituting himself.

"Can't you solicit sex from someone else?" he hissed angrily, feeling defensive. "What makes you think I would ever say yes to that?"

"Because I can tell everyone what we already did," he said, glad to finally use his trump card.

Addock looked at him.

"...and?" he asked, unsure of why, exactly, this was threatening. "You realize that would be bad for you, right...? If it comes to light that we were 'conspiring', then all of our cases come under fire. And when people start digging, they're going to find out what you did. I'm clean. I have nothing to lose. You, on the other hand...should watch your step."

He snorted.

"Who here is so good at lying he's filthy rich off of it? Even your blindness won't get you off of this one. People are going to know you let all those slimy criminals walk before because you couldn't keep it in your pants."

Addock just smiled.

"Go ahead, then. Disgrace me as an attorney." He stared at Stephen, as if he knew exactly where he was.

"You honestly want me to sweeten this deal even further?" he asked, genuinely intrigued. "If you were this persistent in court, maybe you'd be good at your job."

Addock ignored that remark.

"I want you to leave me alone, that's all."

"That's not an option, so pick one you still like," he said, leaning across the table.

"I don't care what you threaten me with, I'm not going to sleep with you," he replied, turning to leave. "Goodbye, Mr. LeBlanc. See you in court."

"Wait," he said, standing up. "What do you want? I'll take you on a real date, even--anything you want. Go on, pick your price."

"...are you really so desperate, you'd be willing to have a monogamous relationship?" he wondered, tapping his cane in amusement.

"Is that your price?" he asked incredulously. "...Why not? I'll take your bet."

Addock looked amused.

"Fine. Before we sleep together, you have to take me out on a date. Every time."

"Nice to know your price," he said with a grin. "It's a deal."

"I expect you to pick me up tomorrow night, then," he replied, smiling. "Oh, and since, well, I'm the 'girl' in the relationship, I also expect you to pay for said dates."

"Wow, you wanna play like that, huh?" He chuckled. "Good. You can be the girl. I like it."

"Good. Now, I'm going back to work. Thanks for lunch," he smiled at him before he left.

Addock didn't know where they were going on the date, but he had dressed nice, anyway. He sat reading a book as he waited for Stephen to show up.

Stephen rang his doorbell, empty-handed, this time. Gifts were for first dates and pretty girls.

Addock opened the door.

"Where are we going?" he asked, holding the lead for Maggie. She didn't look impressed to see Stephen.
