The Tables Have Turned

"Gee, Stephen, you seem to know all about gay sex, is there something you aren't telling me?" he asked with a laugh.

"No!" he said defensively, laughing to clear the air. "It's just the stereotype, you know? Like Muslims and terrorism, gay guys and sucking other men's dicks."

Addock smiled suddenly. "Really? Well, tell me, Stephen, you haven't ever thought about being with a man before?"

"...Thought about it? Fuck no," he replied, rolling his eyes. As if he'd consider settling down with a lowly secretary, or assistant, or whatever the hell Florence was.

He laughed. "So, you're really exclusively into women? I'm surprised, you don't seem the type to limit yourself to just one gender."

"...Are you saying I look like a fag?!" he exclaimed, almost slamming the Bacardi onto the counter.

Addock smiled a bit more earnestly. "Well, I don't know what you look like, but...well, it's none of my business, really. Like whatever you like, I obviously don't care either way."

"Mine's a pussy-only diet, thanks," he lied, staring intensely at the various alcohols. "Besides...why the fuck do you care? You looking for a piece of this?"

Addock laughed loudly. "Certainly not. You're hardly my type, Stephen."

"You can't see. How the fuck do you have a type, asshole?" He handed Addock another shot. "Drink, asshole."

"I tend to judge people more on personality than looks. Also, a sexy voice certainly does help," he teased lightly before he downed his next shot. "I can tell what people look like if I feel their faces, you know," he added.

"Are you asking to feel my face?" he asked, downing his shot. "'Cuz I'll tell you right now--there is exactly one shot keeping me from consenting."

Addock shook his head.

"No, no...I don't really want to feel your face, Stephen. I'll take your word on how attractive you are," he replied with a chuckle.

"Really? Because I'm easily the sexiest man you know. You're just gonna take my word for that?" He refilled their shots and downed his almost immediately.

Addock drank his as well, glad to feel himself slipping more and more into a comfortable state of drunkenness.

"You sound confident of that, as if even the blind man is supposed to be attracted to you," he chuckled again. "You really think you're that good looking?"

"A hundred and ten percent certain," he said, grinning. "Never met a secretary who could say no."

Addock laughed, laying down on the couch and stretching out his long legs.

"I don't believe you," he told him. For a split second something seemed to occur to him, something involving Florence, but as soon as he thought of it, it was gone again.

"It's true," he said, sitting down next to him with a bottle of whiskey. "Whiskey time for me now--want a sip?"

Addock held out his hand for the bottle and gladly took a long drink. He wasn't much for whiskey, but it tasted particularly good tonight.

"So, Stephen... what're your plans for the future," he asked suddenly.

"Fuck if I know," he replied, rolling his eyes. "I resigned from my career path, so I'm going with the flow, or whatever losers call it."

"No plans for a family at some point? We're about the age, you know," he said with a heavy sigh. "Personally, I don't really want kids."

"I'm a career man--fuck children," he growled. "Never gonna have any fucking kids--what's the point, fucking them up?! No thank you."

"You...pretty much summed it up. I just...don't care for the little demonspawn," he reply bluntly. "Always pulling on Maggie's ears and petting her without asking, sometimes even grabbing my cane, fucking little..." he sighed. "Anyway. No kids. Sounds good to me."

"All I want is a trophy wife I can come home and fuck. Or, more than one--isn't that what the Mormons do? Maybe those kooks have the right idea." He took another swig of the whisky.

Addock laughed.

"Whatever you say, Stephen. I just want a fulfilling relationship for once. I can never find a guy who actually..." he paused. "Ahh, never mind, it's not important."
