Carmel and Ginny

Carmel Gray really hated cleaning. Sweeping and vacuuming was the worst, but it was all she ever did anymore. She hated living in this church. She wanted to be out fighting demons, like her parents had done. But they had died before they had taught her what they knew, and in the end she ended up with a nasty scar.

Now, she sat slacking off in a pew, drinking a glass of milk. Maybe it'd make her taller...?

The elegant sound of heels clacking on the floor echoed through the hallways. The source was a woman wearing a classy black dress suit and a pair of sunglasses; she strode through church with a sense of purpose. Her hair was pulled back into a neat bun and her lipstick was perfect. She looked like she belonged in an office in a skyscraper, not inside some dingy old church.

And yet, today she belonged in this exact church. After all, this was where the recent disturbances had been happening. And speaking of recent disturbances...

She made her way to the young girl drinking milk, wearing her best smile and extending a manicured hand. My, they sure grew them cute on the west coast.

"Hello," she said brightly, "I hear you have problems here. I'm a specialist, come to help."

She gasped, inhaling her milk and choking. She dropped her glass and coughed.

"W-why would you sneak up on me like that?!" She shouted angrily, picking up the glass, but it was already spilled. "Now I have to mop this up, you jerk!"

She handed the glass to the new woman, glaring at her. "Hold this."

"No, please, let me help," she insisted, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder after strategically running it over her breast. "It was my fault, so I should be the one cleaning up."

Assuming it had just been a slip of her hand, Carmel decided not to freak out on her. Yet.

"No, I really don't need help! Stupid, jerk!" She stormed off to find her bucket and mop. "I just cleaned this, too! Augh!"

She returned, mopping up the milk.

"What are you here for, anyway?" She replied, calming down a bit.

"I heard you're having problems of a supernatural nature," she said, giggling. "Luckily for you, that happens to be my exact trade. The name's Priestly, Sister Priestly."

Suddenly, her attitude changed. She dropped her bucket, spilling water everywhere, this time.

"O-oh! I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed, gasping. "S-sister Priestly! You're here to help with Father Mason's problem, right?"

She nodded.

"So you've heard of me in advance? Excellent. But yes, I'm here to perform a little quick exorcism--you know, turning tricks for a living." She winked, laughing.

"Yes, his wife is...it's terrible." She sighed, shaking her head. "The demon in her body is a terrible pervert! A l-l...lesbian!"

She gasped, obviously terrified of the demon. "I can't...it's horrible, please, you have to help her! She g-groped me and it was horrible..."

She sighed again. "Please?"

"Okay," she said, frowning slightly, "But it will be difficult. I'll need your help--in order to talk to the demon, I'll have to convince it I'm a lesbian, too." She bent over, so as to be closer to Carmel's face. "Dear Sister--what is your name?--will you help me?"

This was, of course, a huge load of a horseshit, but Ginny T. Priestly had always been a shameless opportunist.

"Oh, I'm not a Sister...I'm only 16." She replied simply. "B-but if I help you...what will I have to do? I really don't want to be near that demon anymore."

She shuddered. Gross, lesbians.

"You have to let it see us doing lesbian things," she said seriously. "You have to let me touch you in weird places and kiss you and hold you, maybe even take off some of your clothes--but you mustn't flinch or weaken. It has to look real.

"Can you help me?"

She took a step back instantly, her expression turning into a grimace.

"EW! No!! Find someone else to help you!" She shrieked, horrified. "I-I...no!"

She sighed dramatically, looking crestfallen.

"Ah, yes...foolish of me to ask one so young to show faith in God. My apologies--I will still do my best. Father Mason's wife may get hurt when the demon turns violent, but it can't be helped."

"Don't be stupid, the demon can't kill it's vessel!" She shouted back. "I have all my faith in God, not in you! You might be a Sister, but I haven't even seen you exorcise anything, I don't even think you can! I've seen enough exorcists come through here scamming Father Mason to know better than to trust you!"

She pouted, glowering at Ginny. "And don't touch me!"

She glanced at Carmel, pity in her eyes.

"The demon won't kill her, but she can get hurt. I've seen vessels get tossed around and injured plrenty of times--as long as they're still breathing, anything's possible. And I want this woman safe."

She placed the glass on the pew, taking a few steps.

"...If you're fine with injuring an innocent woman, then I suppose I can ask you for nothing."

"Of course I'm not fine with it, but I'm not fine with you, either!" She insisted, following after Ginny anyway. "I-I can help you! Just...not like that!"

"That's the only way you can help," she said simply, crossing her arms.

She frowned.

"B-but...but that's not fair! There's no way the Lord would want me to go through with something like this! Even if it's just pretend, it's not okay! Homosexuality is never okay, and more, even if it were, we're not even married!"

She grinned.

"The Lords works in mysterious ways. The question is, will you trust him?"

"No!" She insisted. "...I can't."

She mumbled, fiddling with her cross. "It's...it's just that, I couldn't even pretend, because...because I just can't!"

"Then I am obviously asking one of weak faith," she sighed. "...The poor lady will have to deal with her injuries. Such a tragedy."

"I am not of weak faith!" She shouted insistently. "I just...it's not that I don't want to help, I just..."

She frowned deeply.

"It's not like I know what I'm doing, anyway!"

"You wouldn't have to do anything but not struggle," replied Priestly matter-of-factly. "I'll take care of the rest--I know how demons work, it's my job.

"Now, if you aren't with me, I'm afraid you'll have to leave me to my work. It was nice meeting you, I suppose."

She bit her lip. She supposed it couldn't hurt. She didn't entirely trust this woman, but she didn't seem to be lying...

"I-I can help!" She said finally. "I-I'll help you!"
