Hesekiel and Merlin Meet For The Very First Time

Hesekiel quietly pulled on a pair of trousers, glancing at the pile of blankets. As he pulled on his shirt, he wondered if he should bother apologizing. If Merlin didn't wake up by the time he left, he figured he wouldn't, but if he did, he may as well apologize. He did feel a little bit bad...but just the tiniest amount.

Merlin rolled over, moaning softly.

"Mmn...you smell awful," he muttered. "Like dirt...not like a girl at all..."

"...sorry." he said, without thinking. "I mean, about yesterday. Sorry."

He pulled on his overalls and a jacket.

"Don't think I like you, though."

Finally tiring of the light from the door searing through his eyelids, Merlin opened an eye.

"What do you even want from me?" he moaned, stretching like a cat. "Haven't you tormented me enough? I had the decency not to throw you out, even.

"I'll tell you how to apologize, you great jerk--leave me alone today. I'm craving sex and that means you should be as far away from me as possible." He yawned, raking his thin fingers through his tousled hair. "I'm fancying a lovely lady I met not two days ago and you are going to give me and her plenty of privacy. Then I will consider forgiving you."

He glanced around, almost wincing at the sight of his littered floor. "Do you perchance know what time it is? I need to get some calories in me--if you made me miss breakfast, I will not be pleased." He sat up, finally, and flipped his hair. The purple feathers braided in with his locks refused to lay down properly.

Merlin lounged on his bed, eating chocolate-coated cherries out of a box. He smiled smugly to himself; today, he would be visiting his darling mumsy. That meant good food, good company and no stupid Hesekiel.

He snickered to himself, very much enjoying the thought.

Unfortunately, moments later, Hesekiel walked in. He had just finished bathing, and he smelled like flowers and dirt, as if he'd just spent a hot day tending garden.

"Get out," he said suddenly. "I'm having company over."

"Fine by me," Merlin snickered, grabbing one of his long, fur-lined coats. "I'll be seeing you, cretin. I've got a date with a lovely lady--and then after that, I'm visiting someone. So I won't be here for a while."

He wrapped a pink, gauzy scarf around his neck, winking at Hesekiel.

"Have a good day. Or, you know, not."

Unfortunately, before he could leave, a woman jumped into the caravan.

"Hi Merlin!" She said, waving. Her long, white hair pulled into a braid. "Oh, Hesekiel, I thought you said he wouldn't be here, this is even better! I need some advice, and he'll totally know how to help!"

She smiled, shoving Merlin back inside.

"Camellia is coming over." Hesekiel said.

Merlin clawed at the door, starting to panic.

"You don't understand!" he exclaimed. "I had prior arrangements--you can't keep me here, this is Europe! I am a free man. Let me go!" He tried to make his way past them.

Hesekiel forced Merlin onto the bed.

"So, you two are boyfriends, right?" She asked, sitting near Merlin. "So, how did Hesekiel and you get together? I need to know, because, well...I really love Luke!!"

She blushed like a schoolgirl.

Merlin opened his mouth to protest--he and that slob were certainly notdating--but instead grinned and relaxed suddenly, sensing opportunity.

"I'll show you exactly how I won him over, dearest," he said, sitting calmly. "Come here, and take off your clothes--it's required for the demonstration, love. I'll take off mine, too. We'll pretend you're you, and I'm Luke."

Hesekiel swiftly replied by punching Merlin in the shoulder.

"No, don't listen to him." Hesekiel replied. "Merlin gave me extra meat for dinner, and he doesn't mind my earthy, flowery smell from being out in the woods. He also doesn't mind when I come home late at night."

Camellia nodded.

"Okay!!"
