First Of Many Demons To Face

Mars was enjoying it, but it wasn't as if he was going to let Priestly know that. In fact, he had already forgotten all about the earlier experience. Though he was still in pain, and moving was difficult, the fear and anxiety from earlier in the day had completely melted away.

"I-I don't want you to touch me!" he insisted, though his blush said differently. "I...never mind, I'd rather watch TV!"

"You're sure?" he asked, slipping the remote into Mars's hands again. He climbed onto the bed next to him, kissing him on the forehead.

"Pick a program, then."

He sighed, though whether it was from relief or aggravation, he wasn't entirely sure.

He turned on the TV, flipping through the channels, briefly pausing on each one. When he realized there was nothing on, he sighed again.

"You choose."

Priestly changed the channel to one with a commercil about condoms.

"My favorite show will be on soon," he explained.

Mars's frown deepened.

"I changed my mind," he said suddenly. "I don't know why I thought letting you choose would be a good idea."

"Shhh," he said, placing a finger to Mars's lips. "Do I have to make you quiet...?"

Mars glared at him.

"I don't want to watch whatever sick pornography you've decided to watch with me," he snapped. "Turn off the TV."

He held Mars's hand and kised his cheek.

"Come now, be quiet--the commercial's almost older."

He tried not to stare at the screen, but he couldn't stop himself from checking to see if the show was on yet.

When it came ion, it turned out to be a steamy soap opera about two priests and the village they lived in. Priestly pulled Mars close, troking his hair.

"I used to watch this all the time," he mused fondly.

"...what," Mars asked, confused. "...but...why?"

He couldn't stop himself from staring at the screen, as the two rather good looking men bickered about something stupid. They were so attractive, though. He swallowed nervously.

"...I don't like this."

He rubbed Mars's back as the men onscreen passionately made out.

"Sebastien was always my faorite, but I really like Robert as well," he explained, smiling fondly.

"But they're priests," he shrieked, horrified. "They can't do that, they took vows of celibacy, at least, until marriage, and it's not even legal for them to get married, and they're not married, and this is..."

He tried to keep talking, so that he didn't have to look at the screen, but his eyes kept wandering anyway.

"...I can't believe you would watch something so sinful."

"The sin is what makes it so exciting," he insisted. "You have to feel for their inner conflict, you know? They love God, but also each other."

"NO!" he shouted instantly. "I have absolutely no idea what that feels like! They're both sinful faggots and-and they're both going to die and go to hell!"

He shoved Priestly away, trying to sit up so he could go to the bathroom, only because he didn't want to watch the TV show any longer.

"Do you need help going to the bathroom?" he asked, concerned.

"Like I trust you following me into the bathroom!" he snapped, trying to hide his flustered face. "I don't need your help!"

"But you're hurt," he said, standing up. "Are you sure you'll be fine?"

Mars used the headboard to heave himself up. He winced visibly as his stomach sent sharp pain throughout his body. He whimpered, sitting back down.

"...so much for a shower."

Priestly beamed.

"Let me give you a spongebath."

"No!" he insisted. "There is no way I am letting you touch me."

He crossed his arms, to show how serious he was.
