Britton laid down next to him.

"Was it something I said? Come on, man, you can tell me--what am I always telling you? You have to get this stuff out."

"Why? It's not like you listen," he grumbled, pouting further. Diego knew he was being petty and stupid, and that he was too old to be acting like a child. But that didn't seem to stop him.

Britton ran a hand over his back.

"I'll listen whenever you need me too, okay? You know that. I'm always gonna be here for you. We're brothers."

"Then go get Chinese," he insisted stubbornly.

"I'll order it, but only if you tell me what's bugging you." He began to massage Diego's shoulder.

"...you wouldn't understand," he replied, quietly, calming down as Britton touched his back. "...I'm sorry. Forget I said anything."

He kissed Diego on the forehead.

"...Alright. Want me to order you that Chinese?"

He shook his head, nuzzling his pillow.

"I'm...just going to sleep."

"Okay, man." Britton closed his laptop and climbed under the covers. He rubbed Diego's back again, his movements slow and soothing.

"...night," He said, frowning even as he closed his eyes.
