Now he had really gone and ruined things. Gunner pulled away his hand, insistent on his just leaving and ending the entire thing. He felt guilty, a bit, even as he stood up.

"I-I should just...leave, uhm...I'm sorry, I'm...no good, at uh, anything," he should probably just stop speaking. "I, mean, I'm sorry for...not being a good, uh, date, and for not...well..uh, you know, I guess." He was certain Duncan had no idea what the fuck he was talking about, actually.

Duncan stood up as well, and kissed him on the lips. He grabbed his hand again.

"Please don't leave," he asked.

"B-but...this has to have been the worst...just...I..." he frowned, looking at the door. "Why should I stay?"

"Because I like you," he replied, smiling. "You're the sweetest guy I've met for a while. Please stay."

"What?" Gunner asked, feeling his face turn even more red. He was both confused and embarrassed. "But...but I..."

"Is there a problem?" he asked, scratching his head.

"I...just...it's just that," Gunner sighed deeply. "...I kind of...hoped we'd...do more than cuddling, but I don't want to ruin our relationship before it even starts because to be honest I'm not used to sex multiple times with the same person or relationships or...anything."

"Well," he said, sitting on the bed, "If you promise to stay for breakfast, and I promise to stay for breakfast, and we schedule a second date, isn't that fine?"

Gunner thought it sounded fine in theory, but he wasn't so sure.

"...but, what if..." he stopped himself. "...I...guess that could work."

"Then get over here," he said, slipping off his pants.

Gunner nodded, still unsure.

"Okay," he replied, moving so he could kiss Duncan.

Duncan wrapped his arms around Gunner and pulled him on top of himself. He grinned as he kissed him.

"Is this more comfortable?"

"...is this really okay?" Gunner asked, though the awkwardness wasn't there, anymore. Now in its place was apprehension.

"It's fine with me. Is it fine with you?" He caressed Gunner's cheek with his hand.

"I'm just...worried I'll ruin things," he replied honestly, biting his lip.

"I don't think you will," he laughed. "You just seem nervous is all, but that's fine. Everyone gets nervous."

He kissed him again, more gently this time. "We can start slow, if you like."

He felt his face flush red.

"I...okay," he replied, almost unable to focus on Duncan's face. He found himself rather envious of his body.
