A Forced First Date Is Not Usually A Good One

"Of course I was being sarcastic," she replied, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Well who have u dated?" she asked, still smiling.

She thought for a while, before she wrote.

"I've dated Conner Gabey, Jeremy Vareki, Luke Daniels, Steven Ranger and Blake Isaac."

"But you don't have a bf?"

"Not right now," she replied. "I'm thinking about a few guys, though."

'Like what kind of guys' she asked, biting her lip. Afraid to meet Renee's eyes, she stared at her bosum instead and only managed to fluster herself more.

"Ones who know sign language," she wrote.

'If I learn sign language, will u date me?' she asked seriously. She grabbed Renee's hand and met her eyes, though she could feel her heart beating like a hummingbird's wings in her chest.

Renee scoffed at the very idea of Lydia learning enough sign language to talk to her. She'd lose interest and quit before she ever got the chance.

"If you become fluent enough, yes, but only if we can converse with ease." she wrote.

"I'll do it :)" she replied, grinning. "Teach me some now??"

"No," she replied, frowning. "I'm not teaching you."

"I'll just ask Max then" she replied honestly.

Renee almost laughed at the absurdity.

"Max can't teach you," she wrote. "He's stupid."

"I thought he can use sign language"

"He's too...weird to be a good teacher. Take a class if you want to learn it. It took Max three years."

"I wont take that long" she replied certainly. "I really want u 2 like me"

"Then go learn sign language," she replied and shrugged.

"I will. Because ur worth it and perfect and lovely and I want u."

Renee just turned back to the tv.

"Max," said Lydia, grabbing him by the shirt and shoving him up against a wall. "I need you to teach me sign language so Renee will like me. Or I'll kick your ass."

Max squirmed, only because he feared he might become aroused.

"Oh, hi Lydia, uhm...I don't know if I can teach you," he replied. He hoped Lydia wasn't joking about the kicking his ass thing.

"Teach me, or find me someone who can teach me, or I'm gonna kick your ass. Those are your options, you little bitch. I want Renee to like me, and this is how she said to do it."

"Oh, really," he replied, mentally making a note to ask Renee about this. She was only making it harder on him. Or maybe she was trying to help him out, he wasn't sure actually. "Okay, okay fine, I'll try to teach you, but uh, you have to do something for me."

"Fine--name you price," she replied, letting go of his shirt.

"...uhm, s-sleep with me," Max replied, and though he was smiling, it was nervous now. More nervous than it had bee when she had him pinned to the wall. Either situation was a win. She either agreed or beat him up. How could he not take his chances?
