Gunner was awkward about this sort of thing. On top of that, Duncan lived in a place much nicer than he did. It made him suddenly aware of his dirty clothes.

Gunner held the small trinket in his hands. He was embarassed now that he'd brought it; it wasn't nearly as expensive as anything else around here. It was just a simple old locket that he'd inherited from his mom. He really liked Duncan, but he wasn't sure if they'd been dating long enough to give these sorts of gifts, so he'd kept it in his pocket for a week now. If the moment presented itself, he'd give it to him.

He put the locket back into his pocket before he knocked on the door to Duncan's house.

Duncan opened the door with a smile, practically pulling Gunner inside.

"Heya, cowboy," he said, kissing him on the cheek. "Are those jeans? It's hot out, we'll have to get you out of them at some point."

Gunner felt his face flush; even now he couldn't help it. They'd been dating over a month, and he still blushed.

"It's not that hot out," he replied, sitting on Duncan's couch. It was more comfortable than his. A lot more comfortable. He imagined springs wouldn't poke at him if he tried to have sex on it.

"How've you been?"

"Good. I'm gonna make us burgers. You can put anything you want on yours, okay?" He slipped his hand up Gunner's thigh.

"The clinic hasn't been busy lately, so I'm antsy, I'll admit. I skipped the gym today, but I'm sure I'll manage.

"How've things been with you? Having fun doing cowboy things out in the boonies?"

"Why'd you skip the gym?" he asked, kissing Duncan on the lips. "Seems like you need it more than anything.

"My day was borin'. Lucy's not been doing so well," he replied, sighing. "I can't ride her as far, anymore. I'm worried she won't make it through the summer."

He leaned back in the couch, slicking his hair back and then repositioning his hat.

"...anyway..."

Duncan tilted back Gunner's hat and kissed his forehead.

"Skipped the gym so I could be home in time to get ready. Since it's your fault, you'll help me burn calories, right?"

He kissed his cheek again. "I'm sorry to hear about Lucy, cowboy. I can head up and give her a checkup this weekend, if you want. It's free of charge, if I get to spend the night."

"I'll help you out, just like usual," he replied happily. "Though, I'm pretty sure it's illegal to trade sex for vet services, so I might have to arrest you next weekend," he kissed Duncan on the lips, grinning like an idiot.

"Whoa, whoa, officer, I didn't mention sex--why, were you expecting it? What kind of slut do you take me for?" He kissed Gunner back, but for longer, this time. He ran his hands over his chest, smiling his brightest smile despite himself; he really liked Gunner.

He chuckled.

"Don't think I don't know what that means; I've done undercover sting operations with prostitutes before," he teased, kissing him lightly.

"Sounds like it'd be dangerous--why don't you let me give you a checkup?" He kissed Gunner's neck, slipping a hand up his shirt.

Gunner kissed him on the side of the head before he squirmed away.

"Aren't we gonna eat?"

"You'll be hungry after, won't you?" He teased, groping his butt.

He flushed red.

"But I'm also hungry right now," he complained.

"Then be quick," he replied. "Right now I'm hungry for you, cowboy." He kissed his shoulders, molesting him with his hands.

"If you wanted to wait, you should've been less cute."

"I'm sorry, I'll try to roll around in some skunk before I come over next time," he teased, momentarily checking his pocket for the necklace. It was tucked tightly away. Satisfied, he wrapped his arms around Duncan's waist.

He laughed and unzipped Gunner's jeans. "Are you sure you aren't too warm in these?"

He grinned.

"Maybe it's a bit hot..."

He pulled a condom out of his pocket, grinning.

"Any special concerns before I start your checkup?"

"Mm, don't think so," he replied, smiling happily.

He got down on his knees and pulled the condom onto Gunner, grinning up at him. He licked him long and slow, running his tongue up and down his shaft.
