Third Times the Charm

"Clothes shopping is my favorite," she sighed dreamily. "I am very into fashion...of course, I cannot afford most of it. And furniture shopping is laughable for my income right now." She sighed, tracing the wood pattern of the table.

"We should go shopping, then," he offered. "I'll buy you anything you'd like, within some reason, of course."

She blushed, frowning.

"I...I couldn't put more debt on myself and Maxim. You won't trick me."

"No, no," Shun insisted. "I've already been paying for these dinners, remember? A little shopping is no different, trust me."

Shun knew there was a big difference, but he wasn't going to say anything to Tatiana. He truly wanted to buy her new clothes, something that would make her breasts look even nicer...he blushed suddenly. No, no that was not it at all. Something nice for her, whatever she wanted.

She chewed her lip as she thought.

"Well...I suppose if it isn't a problem, I couldn't say no."

"Perhaps for our next date, we could do that?" he suggested, smiling as Tatiana's alcohol finally arrived. He sipped his water. "Whenever works for you, of course."

She took a long, hearty sip.

"...Are you trying to ask me out on another date?"

Shun flushed slightly red.

"Of course, if you don't want to go on another date, then that's fine, too, of course," he insisted.

She chuckled.

"You are a no-good mafia man--you beat up people and steal their lunch money for a living. Surely you can ask me out straight-forward."

"Of course..." he said, swallowing back his anxieties. "In that case, would you be willing to go on another date with me, my dear Tatiana?"

She took another sip of her drink.

"...I suppose. Why not? You will be lowering Maxim and my debt, yes?"

"Of course," he said, smiling pleasantly. "Are you enjoying your drink?"

"It could be stronger," she replied with a shrug. "Still good. So...how is work going, I guess?"

Shun sighed softly. "Busy. No fun at all being this busy." He looked away. "No need for more details than that."

"...Is there anything about yourself you can talk about?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "It's customary to talk about yourself on dates, you know."

"Well, then why don't you talk about yourself, instead?" Shun asked. "I would prefer that."

"What do you want to know?" She leaned closer, so her breasts rested on the table.

Shun smiled.

"How is work?" he asked in turn, figuring it would be a more pleasant subject.

"As good as one could expect," she said with a shrug.  "I had to murder two people the other day with my own bare hands, but that's life."

Shun stared at her, and then laughed nervously.

"...you're making fun of me...?"
