She frowned.

"Excuse me? I am a woman."

"A woman is someone who has fallen in love and lost her virginity," he said bluntly, eating another strawberry.

Carmel responded by standing up and promptly dumping her milkshake all over Priestly.

"You're a stupid jerk!" She shouted, walking to the door. "I can't believe I wanted to go with you."

He sat there for a moment, looking very confused. Then he got up, walked to the bathroom, cleaned himself up as best he could, then went back to help clean the table and pay the bill. He walked outside a few minutes later, pulling off his sticky suit jacket.

"Carmel?" he called. "What did I say wrong?"

She kicked him in the shin when she saw him.

"Give me a ride back right now!" She shouted.

He flinched slightly, but otherwise showed no sign that he'd been hurt.

"What did I say wrong? We were having such a nice chat--I was enjoying getting to know you."

"Just because I'm a virgin, and just because I haven't fallen in love, doesn't mean that I'm not a woman!" She shouted, furious.

He frowned, confused.

"But that's the definition of the term woman. You are a lady, sure, and you may always be a lady, but the term 'woman' implies experience. Men are the same way--someone has to make a man or a woman out of you, it doesn't just happen. Love matures people."

She slapped him across the cheek.

"How dare you!!" She shouted angrily. "Take me home!"

"What's so wrong with my definition?" he asked. "Women are completely mature, and sexual maturity is a thing."

"You aren't allowed to decide what a woman is or isn't!" She snapped angrily, kicking him in the shin again. "I'm allowed to decide whether or not I'm a woman, not you!"

He frowned for a moment, clutching his shin. Then he smiled.

"Ah. Well, when you put it that way I guess you're right--I'm sorry. I made a mistake." He opened the trucks of his car, tossing in his jacket. "I'm sorry I offended you, Carmel."

She looked satisfied.

"Alright, good." She said, getting back into the passengers side. "That's what I thought."

He pulled off his tie and shirt, tossing them into the trunk as well. He slammed it and got into the front seat.

"So, I'm dropping you off back at the convent?"

"Why did you take off your shirt." She deadpanned. "Put it back on."

"You covered it in milkshake," he replied. "This was my nice suit, too."

"You can't drive me back to the nun house without your shirt on!" She exclaimed. "You'll just have to let me stay at your hotel."

"Won't they miss you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"It's better than being humiliated to death!" She insisted, shaking her head.

"As you wish," he chuckled. "Just, look away when I turn on the TV."

"...why?" She asked, obviously having not learned from her previous mistakes.

"I was watching pornography on pay-per-view this morning," he said, pulling into this street. "Being single is problematic, but that's life." The way he spoke, it was difficult to tell whether or not he was joking.

She felt her face flush red.

"...I think I should just walk home."

"Nonsense," he said, "It's too far. You're welcome to stay at my hotel room, a--" He paused, giving her a surprised look. "...Were you expecting me to masturbate in front of you?"

"W-well...I don't know what kind of person you are!" She exclaimed, burying her head into her hands.
