I Love You I've Always Loved You!

As he carefully groomed his facial hair, Cecil softly hummed a depressing tune to himself. He was going to ask out Mimey today. It made him feel giddy, but he did his best not to show that...

But, of course, he looked nervous anyway. Somehow, an old suit still managed to fit, so he had pulled that in the hopes of impressing his mime friend.

Once he was done getting ready, he turned around.

"Hey, Mimey, do you want go on a date?" He asked the mime, who had been sitting on his own bed the entire time.

...Go where on what date? he signed after a moment.

Cecil opened his mouth, then snapped it shut. He hadn't actually expected Mimey to agree. Therefore, he'd thought he would have time to think of somewhere to go.

"...Your choice." He said lamely.

...But I don't particularly want to go anywhere at any time, he said honestly. I'd rather not leave the circus.

"...We can stay at the circus." He said quietly.

Okay... he said, But why do we need to schedule a time to stay at the circus? it's what we always do.

Cecil frowned deeply. Mimey was being a real spoilsport.

"We can eat lunch together."

...I thought you hate eating lunch with other people, he signed, honestly surprised.

"Yes. Or. No." He said, irritated.

He smiled ever so slightly.

"...So, today?"

He nodded with a shrug.

Cecil nodded back eagerly.

"What time?"

...Whenever they serve lunch? he signed quizzically.

"...See you then." He said, sitting on his bed lamely.

Mimey just stared for a few minutes; man, his roommate was weird.

Unfortunately, by the time lunch time rolled around, Cecil was fast asleep on his bed.

Mimey sat in the food tent with his lunch, slowly nibbling at his food. Waiting. And waiting. And waiting...

Eventually he did wake up, and when he did, he freaked out. One thing lead to another and Cecil finally made it to the lunch tent, out of breath and with his hair in a terrible mess.

He tried to play it cool, but he was obviously flustered.

"...I'm here."

He smiled softly, unable to help himself.

He sat down, trying to act like he was completely, 100% on time.

"So..." He said awkwardly.

...Are you going to eat? he signed, amused; Cecil's disheveled hair was oddly cute.

He thought for a second.

"Yes." And then he got up to get some food, still not quite awake yet.

Mimey waited patiently, eating an apple.

Cecil returned with a tray full of assorted foods and began to munch on some of it, eating meticulously and carefully.
