The Name's Datta

He smiled.

"You smell nice." He informed him simply.

"...You can spray them with my cologne...I suppose...though, not going to lie, that's rather creepy." He poured to boiling water into mugs.

"It wouldn't be the same." He sighed sadly. "It'll never smell exactly like you."

"Don't you think it's wise not to scare me off?" he asked, dropping tea bags into the mugs.

"I know it's weird, but I think I should be honest. Would you rather I lied?"

"I'm actually unsure--it's quite off-putting this way."

"Too bad; I don't see a reason to lie!" He chuckled. "Partners should be honest with each other!"

He nodded thoughtfully, handing Charlie his mug.

"...Yes, I suppose that is true...but there is such a thing as 'too much information', you know."

"So I shouldn't tell you my sleeping habits?" He asked to clarify. "What else shouldn't I tell you?"

"Try using your own discretion," he suggested.

"...I'll just tell you everything then."

Benoit laughed genuinely.

"Ah, perhaps that was a bad idea..."

He smiled happily.

"You're cute when you laugh."

He smiled, shaking his head.

"That's what the ladies say, but they always leave once we make it to the bedroom."

He rose an eyebrow.

"Why is that?"

"Because my lack of enthusiasm is obvious," he said bluntly, shrugging.

Charlie chuckled to himself.

"Don't women ever want a platonic relationship?"

"My ex and I get along rather well," he said with a shrug.

"I see." He said simply, getting that dark feel about him again.

"It's nice, because we don't have to bother with awkward things like sex anymore--we can just get coffee and talk..."

He smiled, folding his hands in his lap.

"I'm going to bed now."

He blinked, surprised.

"...But you haven't finished your tea."

"I'm too tired now." He said, realizing he hadn't touched his tea at all. Still, he insisted. "I'll have tea in the morning."

"...Okay," he said, obviously unimpressed. "You want me to get those pillows and a blanket?"

He nodded.

"I'll try to sleep even though I won't have anyone to sleep next to."
