Mimey just sighed, sitting down and grabbing a pad of paper and a pencil. When he was finished, he handed the note to Cecil.

Kindly inform me as to the real reason you have purchased me gifts of the romantic nature. Contrary to what you may believe I am neither a woman nor an illiterate mute, and I am very interested in your explanation. I was under the impression we were nothing more than roommates, as we never have real conversations.

Cecil read the note over and over, thrilled.

"You have wonderful handwriting~" He cooed, before he realized what the note said. "Oh and...I-I just...W-will you go out with me?!"

He snatched the note back, scribbling on it.

He frowned slightly, for the first time in a while.

"I-I...I'm sorry."

He shook his head, pointing to the line he had just written and rolling his eyes.

He nodded.

"I-I know. I'm sorry I offended you! I'm not even gay!" He insisted. "I just...like you."

Sighing, Mimey wrote another line on the paper.

Then I'm afraid I'm not interested. Why on Earth would you date a man if you yourself are not of homosexual orientation? Seems frightfully pointless.

"No, no, you don't get it! I'm asexual." He tried to explain. "I just...like you."

So not a date, signaled Mimey, his expression unimpressed.

"No, I mean! I really like you..." He looked so awkward since he was trying to explain it.

"But I want to be more than friends!"

He sighed, shaking his head.

He frowned deeply.

Sighing silently, he grabbed another piece of paper.

What I am attempting to inquire is that you have no sexual interest in me but you would still rather pursue a level of relations commonly referred to as 'dating' rather than the simpler and theoretically just as satisfying relationship that is friendship? Is this accurate?

"Uhm, not...exactly." He flushed red.

Explain, he signed persistently, frowning.

He repeated the motion, confused.
