Start of Something New

Kyle Liu kissed Stacy goodbye and got in his car, ready to go home--it was raining, which annoyed him. He hated gloomy weather. It was so much more fun to play sports and sweat outdoors in the sun. He turned on his windshield wipers begrudgingly.

His thoughts went back to the matter at hand: how to dump that whore. He kept on coming over with the intention to tell her it was over, but she gave great head. Sex with her was really nice but also really distracting...

He had lost his train of thought. Shrugging, he focused on getting home; he could tell his little bro Blair all about how he fucked chicks. He loved showing his little brother how cool he was.

Meanwhile, Blair had gotten home and stripped out of his clothes. He hesitated, however, upon taking the sweatbands from his wrists. It was a constant reminder that humans don't die easily. He took off the sweatbands anyway, throwing them onto the ground in the bathroom. He waited as the tub filled with water. He glanced at it every few seconds, between looking at his face in the mirror.

The worst part was that he wasn't even ugly. He was popular, and a good guy, and he was attractive, and a wonderful cook and good at basketball.

It was truly unfortunate that he was all alone in the world.

He had managed to make one friend, one good friend...But he couldn't even manage that. He couldn't handle anything, anymore. At least now, it would be a nice, clean cut. Yuri, hopefully, would realize some day that everything he had said was a lie. It was so obvious...but he was too good of an actor. He hated himself for it.

He hated himself for a lot more than just that, but mostly he hated himself for hurting Yuri so badly. This is why when the tub was finally full, he lowered himself into it and prayed that his lungs would fill with water quickly.

Kyle parked his car in the garage and walked inside the house, slinging his jacket over his shoulder.

"Little bro? You home?" he called in his loudest, most booming voice. He sighed, grinning. "If you're jerking off to gay porn, I'm gonna kick your little faggot ass!"

He ran up the stairs, throwing open the door to Blair's bedroom, but there was no one there. Puzzled, he searched around; the only thing out of place was a dildo Blair's girlfriend had obviously left behind. He wondered why he never saw her enter or leave the house, but he didn't think about it too hard.

"Blair?!" he called again, frowning. "Get your faggot ass out here, I don't care if you're busy sucking your own cock--you're in for a purple nurple, assbitch!" He really wanted to tell Blair how cool his day had been.

Blair grimaced, wishing he'd die faster. It was so hard to consciously drown. He kept having to force himself to stay underwater. It would take so much longer if he resurfaced and got a breath of air.

He really hated when Kyle was in this sort of mood, anyway. The only reason he ever searched so adamantly for Blair was when he wanted to tell him something really retarded.

"Hey Blair, guess what, I DID A CHICK TODAY."

WHO. CARES?!?

Blair hated his brother on so many levels.

Kyle cautiously opened the bathroom door, fully expecting to find his brother jerking off to porn--he planned to accuse him of being a gaybo and give him a noogie like a proper, loving big bro.

But Blair wasn't jerking off. He was in the bathtub, but he was doing it all wrong. He was wearing clothes; there was no bubble bath. But stupidest of all, he was face down in the water.

Kyle laughed inwardly at his brother's stupidity, because that was what it had to be--what kind of person laid face-down in a bathtub, fully clothed? You'd have to be suicidal, or retarded, and there was only one option that fit his brother. Only one option.

He tapped Blair on the shoulder, laughing; for some reason, the sound wasn't as loud as normal.

"You're doing it wrong, you fucktard!" he shouted. "Jesus Christ, can you not even take a bath right? What a fag-ass bitch!"

But he refused to acknowledge Kyle. He'd have to pull him out of that tub kicking and screaming before he'd surface on his own. This was going to be the end, whether or not Kyle was present.

However, there was a better reason Blair wasn't responding to Kyle; he was beginning to feel the effects of blacking out.

Kyle suddenly stopped laughing. He could feel his pulse pounding in his head; what if Blair was seriously hurt?...

In the next moment, he didn't even breath. He just grabbed his brother and yanked him out of the tub, laying him flat on his back on the bathroom floor.

"Blair!!" he screamed. Panicking, he began to administer CPR--that was one lesson he had always remembered, in case he'd have to save a babe. Besides, kissing your cute li'l bro when he was dying didn't count as gay.

Unfortunately, due to Kyle's actual legit remembrance of CPR, Blair ended up coughing back up the water that had filled his lungs sometime later.

The second he regained consciousness, he was disappointed. He had failed to kill himself a second time. What sort of disgusting failure was he?

Kyle was on the phone with 9-1-1.

"...You don't understand!" he shouted. "My stupid baby bro almost drowned, he is dying!...fuck you, I'm just gonna bring him in! Don't call me a fuckin' idiot, I know what I'm doing! I'm gonna carry my bro to the hospital, shit dick!" He hung up the phone, picking Blair up bridal-style.

"Don't worry, little guy," he said softly, "your big bro is gonna make everything okay." And with that, he dashed like a madman out of the house and into the street, cradling his younger brother in his arms.

"Don't worry bro!" he panted. "The hospital is only several miles away!"

Barely conscious of what was even going on, Blair just sort of nodded. Yeah, he guessed that was what he deserved. Everyone at the hospital would be laughing at him, for being such a fucking failure...Yeah, that's what was going to happen, for sure.

A few minutes later, they were almost hit by the ambulance. After some more screaming and arguing, Blair and Kyle got a ride to the hospital.

"It's gonna be okay, bro," whispered Kyle, squeezing his hand as the car hit a particularly bad pothole. "It's gonna be so okay. You just took a bath the wrong way, is all."

Blair wanted to laugh, but he just sort of drooled instead. This whole almost drowning thing was super. He couldn't believe Kyle, though. Even now, he was an idiot.

Kyle saw Blair's weird half-smile and smiled back.

"That's the spirit, bro! KEEP ON KICKING!" He leaned over to kiss Blair before thinking better of it. That was too gay for right now.

God did he hate Kyle. He closed his eyes, and finally he slipped back into unconsciousness.

Some time later, he woke up on a hospital bed. It looked exactly the same as the one he'd woken up in when he tried to slit his entire arm in two. He glanced down at his arm, seeing the familiar scar there, as well as a needle.

Kyle stood over him, obviously leaning in for a kiss.

"...Morning bro," he uttered awkwardly.

Despite still being somewhat woozy, he let out a surprised yelp.

"W-wh...what are you...?!" He exclaimed, in a raspy voice. How long had he been out?

He laughed, conspicuously pulling away.

"I'm your bro, asswipe! Christ, how bad was your fucking coma?"

"...how long?" He asked quietly, glancing around. Plenty of flowers and gifts from his wonderful little friends. A few manlier gifts, but mostly flowers.

"Fourteen days," he said, beaming like an idiot. In reality it had only been one, but fourteen sounded more impressive. Blair would totally thank him.

"What?!" He hissed, attempting to sit up. "I-I have to get back to school!"
