The Daily Grind, At Least For Demon Hunters

"I'd never mock you about that. I find you very attractive," he insisted. "You're a very handsome young man."

"No! I'm not!" he snapped, grinding his teeth together. "I can't believe you'd mock me like this! You...you really are a disgusting, terrible person!"

"I could prove it, if you like, but I don't think you want me to," he said with a shrug.

"...what?" he asked, thrown off. "You...what?"

He grinned at Mars.

"Should I show you how lovely you are? I can do it, once we reach the motel."

Mars glared out the window.

"...no. How dare you even suggest that." he mumbled, swallowing nervously.

"I'd be gentle," he said, running his hand over Mars's. "As gentle as you wanted."

He retraced his hand, barely resisting the urge to forcefully punch Priestly. But, he resisted, because he knew better than to punch the driver.

Instead, he clenched his fists, digging his fingernails into his palm.

"You don't know what I want," he hissed. "You don't know anything about me. How dare you."

"Tell me what you want and I'll deliver," he said in his sultriest voice, turning down the music. "I'm at your command."

Mars bit his lip, feeling all the heat rise to his face. This was the last thing he needed to be dealing with.

"Just...stop," he said quietly.

He shrugged, pulling into a burger joint drive through.

"Whatever you say. Anything you want for dinner, Marsy?"

"...you have the worst timing," he grumbled. "I want everything on the menu, I want to eat myself into a coma."

"Now, now, you're not growing that fast," he laughed. "Pick a combo meal from the menu."

"I don't care," he replied grumpily. "I just want to eat."

"I don't think you want me to decide your supper," he said with a sly smile. "I might just pick something you haven't been willing to try yet, right?"

He glared at Priestly.

"Try me," he hissed, grinding his teeth together.

"Good thing I'm always prepared for this," he said with a wink.

He leaned out the window and said, "I'll take two cheeseburger combo meals, both with pepsi. That'll be all."

Mars punched Priestly in the arm, before crossing his arms once more.

"You're disgusting," he barked, looking out the window.

"Why, Mars? Do you not like burgers?" He waggled his eyebrows. "Or are you simply afraid of what the main course might be?"

He tried to remain serious, but couldn't stifle a giggle.

"...That was an innuendo, Marsy. Did you catch it?"

"I caught it, and I'll let you know that that will never happen!" he snapped. "I am never, ever doing anything of the sort with you!"

He grumbled to himself.

"You're truly sinful."

"Not sinful, Mars. At peace. Liberated. God's child, and enjoying myself. There's nothing sinful about loving what God gave you, is there?" He licked his lips, leaning closer.

"Why won't you let me love on what God gave you?"

Mars leaned closer to Priestly, until their foreheads were almost touching. He dared Priestly to touch him.

"You will never be what you think you are," he said, swallowing. "You are just a filthy sinner."

"And you're a repressed, lost little lamb," he replied calmly. "One day I'll lead you to salvation. Delicious, sweet salvation."

"Your salvation is damnation by anyone else's standards, including mine!" he snapped, gritting his teeth.

"Other people simply don't understand God, then," he said brightly.
