Joseph frowned, looking away.

"...very funny," he huffed, still concerned about his hickey. He would have to wrap his scarf more tightly around his neck for a few days. He groaned and flopped back onto the bed, too tired to care about it too much at the moment. He grabbed blankets and began to pull them over himself. He didn't care anymore what etiquette was supposed to be. He was exhausted, he was going to sleep.

Caesar cuddled close to him. "You know this changes things, right?"

Joseph swallowed knowingly as he pulled the blankets over them.

"...it doesn't have to," he insisted, even though he knew it did.

"But I wanted this for a long time. And you know now. I wanted you."

Joseph felt the hair on the back of his neck stand up.

"...oh," was all he could bring himself to say. "...w-well, uh..."

He had so much to think about now, it was giving him a headache.

He pulled him closer, pressing his chest against Joseph's back.

"...I like you a lot, JoJo."

Joseph sighed deeply and rolled over so he could face Caesar.

"You could have fooled me," he said honestly, but he wrapped his arms around Caesar and pulled him closer. "...does it hurt?" he asked, tracing the lines where he had dug in his nails.

"A little," he said, shrugging. "It felt good, though. I wanted you to do it."

Joseph looked unconvinced.

"...are you sure?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. "I could probably use hamon to fix it, you know."

"I gave you a hickey, didn't I?" he chuckled softly. "Leave it--I...I want the marks there."

Joseph gave him a look of mild confusion but shrugged.

"Whatever, I guess," he said. It would make training harder on Caesar anyway, that had been the whole point of this, right? He buried his face into Caesar's chest, sighing contently. Who the hell was he kidding? "...night."

"...Goodnight," he said softly, kissing JoJo's forehead.
