Church Bells

He shook his head, extending a business card.

"Hehe, this makes us kind of like brothers. I've always wanted a brother...okay, so I have one, but he kinda sucks."

Cyprus took the card gingerly, as if it was infected with some sort of disease.

"What is it, exactly, you want, again?"

"I'll have to tell you after all these people leave," he said with a shrug. "You got any snacks around here? I haven't eaten in two days."

He rose an eyebrow.

"In the back, yes." He said absently. "Why haven't you eaten for two days?"

He shrugged.

He facepalmed.

"If you go through that door," He pointed, "you can find some food. I'll be back in a minute; I have to finish ushering the rest of the people out."

He nodded, already headed in the direction Mars had indicated.

"Okie dokie~"

Somewhat relieved he had gotten rid of the man for a moment, he cleared out the church and cleaned up a bit. Namely, he changed out of the long robes and into a pristine, white suit. When that was done, he walked into the back room he had sent the man into.

Priestly was lounging in a chair, munching on some cookies with a glass of wine in hand.

"Gutentag~"

He frowned.

"That wine isn't for you. I said food, not drink." He crossed his arms. "Now will you tell me what you want from me?"

He took a sip of his wine anyway.

"Christ, you sure are inhospitable for a man of God."

"You're no member of my church." He informed him coldly, taking the wine from him. "Furthermore, you insist on accusing me of terrible things. Though I suppose since you haven't burst into flames yet, you can't be that bad of a person."

There was a hint of joke in that last sentence, but it was all but lost in Mars's serious tone.

He chuckled.

"You're funny~ But really, you make a shitty man of God, whether you molest children or not."

He frowned.

"How else am I supposed to act towards someone as suspicious as you?" He replied, finally taking a seat in a chair. He crossed his legs and straightened out his suit methodically.

"God loves all his children, and wants you to do the same," he chided gently.

He frowned slightly.

"As true as that is, it doesn't mean some haven't strayed from the path of holiness." He replied simply. "But I digress. Why are you here?"

"You're doing a shitty job of keeping this place demon free as well," he said bluntly. But it's okay, I won't judge just yet."

"...Excuse me?"

"Well, there's a demon here," he said sheepishly. "Hate to break it to you."

"I can handle it myself, thank you." He said simply.

"Then why isn't it gone?" he asked, sipping more wine.

"I haven't taken care of it yet." He said simply. "Is that all?"

He gave Mars an odd look.

"I have to say, for someone so incompetent, you seem rather calm--I'm impressed."

He frowned deeply.

"I'll have you know I'm not incompetent. There's simply only so much I can do when I go out at night. I do have duties other than ridding this area of it's demons, you know." He informed him cattily.

He grinned.

"Maybe you should hire me--it happens to be my forte."
