Entente Cordial

"You'll be a very hard wife to make happy. I pity whoever marries you." He remarked, smiling as per usual.

She grinned.

"Oh, but my husband will be so lucky--I plan to cook him breakfast every morning and make love to him every night."

He rose an eyebrow.

"No matter what? Even when you're sick or pregnant or dead?"

She rose an eyebrow.

"Marriage is 'until death do us part', oui? Ze last one is a no-no."

"So you won't cook him breakfast when you're dead?" He asked, just to clarify.

She nodded.

"When I am dead, I will rot at my leisure."

"No cremation?" He asked invasively.

She shrugged.

"Perhaps--I am too young to decide, don't you think?'

He shook his head.

"I almost died! I started making my will a few days ago."

She smiled, finishing drying him off.

"Yes, I suppose zat is true...do you have much family to leave your things for?"

"I was an only child, so all I have is my parents, and neither of them want anything of mine, really." He laughed. "I'm pretty much alone."

She patted him on the back.

"You're young enough, Mister Datta--I'm sure you have plenty of time to start a family."

"I'm twenty-eight." He informed her, furrowing his eyebrows.

She laughed.

"Ah, zat was funny...you are too cute to be zat old. I am only twenty--if you are zat old, I can never consider sleeping with you."

He laughed along with her.

"Yeah, you got me. I'm only twenty-two." He lied before he could stop himself.

Jacqueline winked at him.

"What do you know--just my age range...would you like me to get you some clean pajamas, Mister Datta?"

He nodded, suddenly feeling both confused and ashamed. Why had he lied so quickly? That wasn't like him at all.

She hurried to find him a clean pair; when she returned, she "accidentally" dropped them on the bathroom floor.

"Whoops!~" she exclaimed, bending over to pick them up.

Benji quickly turned his attention elsewhere, his face flushing a nice shade of pink.

"I think I'll skip the tea tonight."

She slowly picked them up, making sure Benji had enough time to look.

"Ah, sorry--I can be quite ze klutz."

He just nodded slowly.

"I think I can put them on myself." He insisted suddenly.

She chuckled.

"Ah, but isn't it difficult? Besides, I thought you wanted me to touch you some more..."

He shook his head.

"You can go home now." He tried to smile.

Jacqueline pouted, sighing.

"But what about your kind offer? My hotel is so uncomfortable."

"Maybe tomorrow?" He suggested.
