He whistled a brief tune.

"Oh, space? I'm sorry, I can't. We're partners now. Partners should be intimate with one another, trust each other to the utmost possibility and most importantly, they should never, ever be apart."

"I plan to have a new partner by tomorrow," he said flatly.

He shook his head.

"I already asked. They said they wouldn't changed. I've already bonded to you, anyway, and I'm higher priority!"

Benoit fumed.

"...Then I suggest you stay away from me for a while. I don't want to fight with you."

"Why are you so angry, anyway?" He wondered.

"If I talk about it, I may attempt to strangle you, so I'd rather not," he said quietly.

He shrugged.

"We should go drinking!" He said, out of nowhere.

"I don't drink."

"We could go out to a nice Indian restaurant!"

"I eat Indian food at home."

"You can cook for me!"

"I don't like you," he said frankly, pressing a button for a random floor and stepping out of the elevator.

Charlie followed him, predictably.

"I'll cook for you, instead!"

"You're not welcome in my home," he replied, shoving Charlie back into the elevator as the doors began to close.

Yet, Charlie forced them open with his hands again.

"But I'm your partner!"

"That's what you think," he said, leaning against the wall. "...You're not going to stop following me, are you?"

He shook his head.

"We're partners. We'll always be together. Always."

He groaned.

"Just, go back to your house."

"I don't have one!" He said cheerily.

"...Then where are you supposed to live?" he asked, twitching.

"They said I could live with you!" He looked beside himself with happiness as he clapped his hands together. "We can have so much fun! It can be like a sleepover, every night!"

He groaned.

"...So, you're telling me that my new 'partner' is essentially a brat I have to provide for and offer shelter."

He shook his head.

"I'm not a brat. If I was, I wouldn't be working here, would I?"

"Oh yeah? Can you provide for yourself?"

He just smiled.

"Don't make me repeat myself."
