Crows and Seagulls Are Totally Pals Right?

"You're tall and graceful," he continued awkwardly. "You have a gorgeous face and a really nice body. You're deadly and efficient. You want to kill me if I get in your way. You have a pleasant voice. You're one of the strongest and most agile people I've ever seen. You're good at your job."

"Ooh, is that it or are there more?" He pressed, smiling like a child on Christmas.

"You could kill me if I got in your way. You know what it's like to kill someone else. I see you and I think dirty things. You took my first time by force. You have gorgeous eyes. You're extremely confident. And most of all..." He cleared his throat awkwardly. "...You're exactly like my dad described."

"...I am?" He asked, confused. "How?"

"I was fascinated with you at first sight, and you aren't afraid of what I am, and I want so desperately for you to feel the same about me. Only...you won't."

"Well...That makes sense." He nodded. "Huh. I'm sorry we won't every be compatible in the way you want us to be."

He nodded.

"Whatever. It's not a big deal, or really any of your business."

He shrugged.

"I actually feel kind of guilty."

"Funny, didn't think that was possible."

"Not guilty enough to act on it, but sort of guilty." He admitted.

"That's useful."

"Not for you, but for me it is. It stops me from doing something I'll regret. Like agreeing to try to seriously date you." He laughed. "That would never work out, and if I had less self-control, I would have promised you that, and things would only go downhill from there."

"Why can't we do that?" he asked. "I would see you as less of a slut, and I'd struggle less."

"But it would lead to me killing you, of course." Crow pointed out. "I would grow attached...And you would get in my way, and it would be a huge mess."

"It's not my fault you're weak-willed."

He laughed.

"If you really want we can try, but I can promise you that I will kill you eventually."

"Wasn't that already a given?" he asked dryly. "You sound like a bitchy Edward Cullen."

He laughed.

"Oh, you Americans."

"Oh, you elitist European douchebags."

Crow grinned.

"But you love me anyway."

"No, I really don't."

He laughed.

"But you will."

"Make me," he replied, his tone resentful again. "I want to date you--that doesn't mean I have high hopes. You probably couldn't romance a desperate high school girl."

"Ha!" He snorted. "I am the king or romance."

"...You just snorted. I'm already less aroused than I was before I got this job."
