Theo turned silent and walked out the door, only to return later, smelling quite a bit like blood.

Vani was curled up in a fetal position in the corner.

"Vani, I brought you more blood." He said, kneeling down next to her.

"...Why couldn't I come with?..."

"I'm sorry...Here, drink." He said, ripping open a new packet of blood.

"...Maybe I should just die," she grumbled unhappily.

"Vani, I love you. You can't die." He told her.

She shifted slightly at his words.

"...You're just saying that. You always leave me alone because you don't want to be seen with me because I'm weird."

"You know that's not true. I'll take you out once your limbs are back, I promise."

He kissed her forehead.

"Of course. Now, drink the blood so we can go out soon."

Using her stub limbs--which by now had grown just past the elbow--she sat up and drank greedily from the pouch, emptying it in seconds.

Theo quickly opened a new one and allowed her to drink from it as well.

"How much do you want?"

"The exact amount of cocaine Charlie Sheen snorts daily."

"...I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Just give me more," she insisted, sighing. "You're such an OG sometimes, pops."

He did as he was told, still confused.
