Just Two Cool Guys

He frowned.

"I blacked out--that never happens. I can always remember some of what happened...but I blacked out, and woke up in another man's bed, and the last thing I remember is him handing me a drink. I wasn't even looking for a one-night stand...you were going to be my last one."

Curtis just sighed.

"I don't care. Get out."

"Why are you so upset?!" he exclaimed. "I was probably violated, and the only thought you have is that I'm the kind of scum who would cheat on you."

"Aren't you? Why else would you go out drinking, to a bar?" He hissed. "For the same reason you did before you met me."

Jaden rolled his eyes.

"Curtis, you know as well as I do that I love cocktails. When I can't be with you...I normally go and get buzzed so I don't feel as miserable." He looked down. "You said you were studying that night, remember?"

"I don't remember giving you permission to cheat." He replied, crossing his arms. "And it was one night without me. I'm sure you could have survived."

"I didn't cheat!" he exclaimed. "And I always miss you when I can't have you...the feel of your body, the sound of your voice...alcohol makes the loneliness easier."

Curtis turned away from him.

"Just leave me alone."

"...Why do you want so badly for me to be a cheater?" he asked, pouting.

"I don't want anything. It's what you did."

"I didn't!!" he exclaimed. "I've never cheated on you, I swear on everything I have."

"Now you have nothing." Curtis replied. "Because you can't leave."

"...Why do you even want me here, if you hate me?"

Curtis frowned.

"Just go to bed."

Jaden groaned.

"If you hate me so much, and I'm such a filthy cheater, just get rid of me!!"

"...No." He said stubbornly.

"Then why keep me around?" he asked, pouting.

"Because I want to." Curtis said grumpily.

"WHY?!"

Curtis slapped him.

"BECAUSE I SAY SO!"

Jaden hugged Curtis.

"Either take me back or let me leave!!"

"No, I choose neither!!"

"That's illegal!" he shouted, exasperated.

"Why should I care?!"

"Why do you want me around?!"
