Just Two Cool Guys

If Curtis had something sharp and pointy with him, he would have popped all the balloons by hand. Lacking that, he simply slammed the door.

"Leave me alone!" He shouted.

He knocked on the door again.

"Curtis, please! Just let me explain! I would never have done this to you on purpose..."

"Oh, so you'll just subconsciously do it?!" He kicked the door. "Leave me alone!"

"I don't know what happened!!" he yelled back. "I was doing fine but then this guy bought me a drink and then I can't remember anything and then I was in his bed and now I'm begging you to please take me back because I love you!" He paused to inhale.

"Love?! You don't know what love is, you cheating scumbag!" He kicked the door again. "I hate you!"

"Don't be like that...don't you love me too?" he called gently. "I know what love is because I met you, Curtis--if I didn't care, do you think I'd want you back this badly?!"

Curtis laughed bitterly.

"No. You know what sex is. And you like it. It's all you care about and I was stupid enough to give it to you." Curtis sighed. "But that's life. Now leave."

"...Is that seriously how you think of me?!" He banged on the door with his fist. "Curtis, I don't care about sex--I'll go without having sex ever again as long as I can have you!"

Curtis gritted his teeth together. He hardly believed it.

"Of course that's how I think of you! You're disgusting." He scowled. "Leave me alone, Jaden!"

"No! Let me inside!..." He slumped against the door, barely holding onto the balloons. "Just let me explain, at least...please, Curtis...I'll do anything."

Curtis laughed bitterly.

"No. Go away." He knew he'd come around and let Jaden in eventually, but these doubts...They wouldn't go away.

"...Fine," he said, standing up. "I'll be back, though! And I'll keep on coming back until you let me inside!!"

Jaden returned, this time holding a small teddybear and an envelope.

He had been trying this daily for weeks, but he wasn't about to give up--Curtis was worth it. He rang the doorbell once more, standing tall and proud.

Finally, Curtis opened the door. He was sipping a cup of tea.

"Go on, then."

"Curtis, please listen to me for o--" He stopped, for a moment unsure of what to do next; he hadn't expected Curtis to cave. "...Sorry. Can I come in?" He held up the teddy bear, smiling. "He's for you~"

Curtis took the bear and threw it across the room. Then, he stepped aside so Jaden could entire.

A little bit discouraged, Jaden quickly hurried inside before Curtis could change his mind.

"...Thank you."

Curtis slammed the door behind him, still drinking his tea.

"You're staying here, now."

"...Huh?" he asked, blinking.

"Forever." He replied, sipping his tea. "You're not leaving."

His face brightened at first.

"...You'll take me back?"

"I never said that."

His face fell.

"...Then what's going on?..."

"You're staying in my house forever." He replied, as if it were simple.

"...Why?" he asked, highly confused. "Let me get this straight--you're still angry, and you won't take me back and you certainly won't sleep with me, but I'm under house arrest in your house? Isn't that illegal?"

Curtis glared at him.

"And if I slept with you it wouldn't be?"
