It had only been a few weeks since Judas had disappeared, but Allon was weak and he knew it. He was incredibly weak because Judas skipped town the second he got a chance. Allon had known it would happen, or he at least suspected it, but it was much worse than he thought. He had traveled far away from his city, and know he had no idea what he was going to do. He brought in bounties, whenever he didn't completely drain them first.

Now, in the police station, he waited with as much composure as he could fake as they counted his money.

Meanwhile, Theo, leading Vani along by the hand, walked in with a criminal of their own strung over his back. He looked curiously at the man collecting his own money; there were very few bounty hunters in this area besides themselves.

Vani dug he nails into Theo's hand and arm, sniffing the air.

"...Theo, why is there a vampire in here?" she whispered softly. "Ours is a human. We brought in a human."

Allon turned around once he heard the girl whispering. A vampire, like him. She was so small, though. It was kind of cute, but his mind was more preoccupied on the weird man with her. He wasn't human, but he was just...weird.

"Why, are you two bounty hunters, too?" Allon asked, forcing a smile onto his lips. He looked sickly, which he was; he was always sick nowadays.

"You're really sick," she said, not answering his question. "Didn't your mother ever teach you how to feed?"

Allon nearly strangled the girl. Theo flinched, pulled her closer to him. Allon twitched, but he didn't make a move.

"...no, he didn't." He replied, swallowing his anger.

Her ears perked, and she tilted her head. Her hair fell into her face, obscuring her eyes, but she didn't seem to notice.

"...Then let me teach you," she said, holding out her hand slightly to the left of Allon. Still, for a blind person it was pretty decent.

"Vani, are you sure?" Theo asked, looking suspiciously at Allon. He seemed kind of creepy, and why was he dressed like a priest? "I'm coming with you."

She nodded, smiling softly.

"You want to learn how to feed, right? Let me teach you. I can be your replacement Mommy."

Allon just stared at her.

"...you're...lying." He replied, refusing to take her hand. "Someone else already offered me help and look what he did to me."

"My Daddy left me, too," she said plainly. "What have you got to lose? I'm not even big and scary."

Allon hesitantly reached out to take her hand, still unsure of himself.

"Vani..." Theo looked at her, confused.

She snatched Allon's hand, pulling him close so his head rested on her bosom. "Shh," she whispered, stroking his hair. "It's okay. We're your family now." She looked up in entirely the wrong direction, smiling. "Isn't that right, Theo? He can sleep in my bed, so it'll be fine."

"Vani, we can't just adopt him. You don't know where he's been, what if he has fleas?" Theo asked, crossing his arms and attempting to pry her away from Allon.

"Yeah, but what if he's straight and we fall in love?" she asked in response, irony completely absent from her voice. "Come on, Theo--you remember how weak I was. Is it so bad to help someone in need?" She kissed Allon on the forehead.

"Besides, he's already bonded with us so we have to take it. Those are the rules--it's just like getting a puppy or a parakeet only they're a person."

Theo groaned.

"...fine. Just...be careful, he might infect you with this weirdness." Said Theo, the weirdest character I have.

Vani reached out and touched Theo's face while touching Allon's.

"See? Family," she whispered. "Now, tell your new mommy, Allon--do you like having sex with women?"

"...what?" Allon asked, confused. "No...I'm gay."

Theo looked relieved.

"What?" said Vani, pouting. "...Theo, maybe we shouldn't keep him."

"Too late, you said we could keep him." Theo replied, smiling to himself. "Let's take him home, okay?"

She sighed.

"Fiiiiine...are you sure you don't like girls, Mister? Have you ever tried with one?"

Allon just stared at her. "...even if I liked women, you are far too young and cute for my tastes."

Theo just picked up Vani. "Alright, come on, let's take him home."

Vani tried to pick up Allon, but was unsuccessful.

"Why does every man I know see me as a little girl? Only those nice cop guys take me serious. One of them said he wanted to eat me out and I don't know what that means but it sounds like an adult thing to do."

Allon stared at her, then looked to Theo. "You should maim that sinner." Theo just smiled. Finally, someone who understood him.

"You sounds like Theo," she scoffed irritably. "That nice Mister Police Officer sees me as an adult, and he pays attention to me. He mentioned something about two meanings for the word 'blow' so I don't know what we're gonna do, but I'm gonna do it because I like him and I want to thank him."

"No, seriously." Allon replied, looking at Theo. "Punish him for his sins."
