"There's something about this life I enjoy, too. I want to do both things, but there's no good way to mix them..." He replied simply. "I want to be able to bring justice in a way that God would approve of."

"Good luck," he said, shrugging. "And for the record, there's no proof God exists. I wouldn't worry about it."

He smiled at him.

"I know, but I believe anyway. I just do. There are many reasons for it, but...I just do. What about you, anyway? Do you believe?" He asked curiously.

He laughed. "If God existed he'd have stopped a motherfucker like me, right? So he doesn't. It's that simple.

"They say faith is believing in what you can't see, but I've got another word for it--stupidity."

"You simply have a higher purpose." He replied, smiling widely. "With me. So let me join you, I can guide you."

"How do you know about you and me? We just met."

"It was fate." He replied, only about half joking. "Trust me."

"You don't know anything about me," he replied. "I could kill you right now--with this baseball bat, with my bare hands, even with my hands behind my back. You don't know who you're dealing with."

"You could, but you probably won't." He replied bluntly. "So I don't care about what you could do, only what you do."

"I'm a fucking vampire. I'll slit your throat and drink you down before I leave."

He just stared at him.

"...you're serious, aren't you?" He asked, before he pounced on Judas. He grabbed his hand, clapping them between his own. "T-tell me about it! How old are you?! D-do you rally live forever! You're allergic to garlic, right? And, uh...just tell me about it!"

Allon was entranced. This gorgeous man was more than just that; he was a beautiful, perfect creature. He wanted him so hard.

Out of habit, Judas smacked Allon across the face to push him away.

"The fuck, man--get a hold of yourself. What are you, an animal?"

He just grinned wider, shaking his hips in excitement. He cupped his face, sighing dreamily.

"I knew this was fate! I knew it!!" He replied, grinning at Judas. "Please, come on, just tell me! I-I'll do anything, I just want to know, what it's like?!"

"It sucks dick," he replied, kicking Allon away. "I said to get a fucking hold of yourself!"

"N-no way!" He exclaimed, shaking his head. "There's no way it's terrible! I don't believe you! How can you say that?! Living forever...and being as free as you are, you can't even tell me it's not amazing!"

He sighed again.

"I just did," he said, shaking his head in disgust. "It's boring as fuck. I hate it. I wish I had died in my home country, among my comrades in battle. But no, this happened." He glared at his hand. "It's a curse, don't let no stupid pulp tell you otherwise."

He was amazed.

"But...it's what I've always wanted." He replied. "I mean...it's perfect."

He was mostly talking to himself again.

"It's what you think you've always wanted," he insisted angrily. "It gets boring after you hit fifty--trust me."

"I'm sorry, but I don't believe you. It seems like a dream come true, me." He replied stubbornly, refusing to listen to reason. "I just...it's perfect."

Before he could say anything more, his washer made a loud beeping noise. He frowned suddenly, but went to go put the clothes into the dryer.

"I'll be right back."

Judas sat up, glancing around the room. He could see at least seven escape paths; disappearing into the night would be too easy.

But his pride wouldn't quite let him leave until he had convinced this asshole to quit his stupid dreams.

After switching out the clothes, he returned to the room, slicking back his hair again. He looked a bit sheepish about the incident, though.

"So...why is being a vampire so bad?" He asked, a bit more calmly as he sat down in his chair.

"You grow to hate everything," he barked, speaking more harshly than he needed to. "Existence becomes this great chore, and you can't die. Nothing will end it. You live off of others like some kind of parasite--it's no way to live. It's not even living. It's a fucking curse.

"Most of us go crazy when we hit the five hundred mark, if not sooner. I'm just waiting."

He just stared.

"...But it'd be so great." He replied, frowning deeply. "It seems so good. Like a gift from God..."

He tapped his chin. "But I'll take your word for it, even if I don't really understand. Besides...I'd still want to become a vampire, no matter what."

Judas grinned slyly.

"A person like you? Sure I'd make you a vampire. But, um...not yet. You have to prove to me you're worthy."

"By doing what?" He asked immediately. "I'll do anything. Well...almost anything."

He looked determined, though; just by the mere mention of it, Allon was excited. This was God's will, it was what he was supposed to do, he just knew it was.
