Who Ya Gonna Call?!

Priestly carried Mars into his room, sighing to himself; this boy really didn't know how to find a bed, did he?

Halfway asleep, Mars shifted slightly and mumbled something.

He kissed him on the forehead, gently laying him on the bed.

Mars clung to him, refusing to let go.

"...mom..." He mumbled. "...tell...dad."

"...Tell him what?" he asked softly, stroking Mars's hair.

"...tell him...to run..." He mumbled fitfully.

"From a demon?" he inquired, gently cradling Mars in his arms.

He frowned deeply and replied, "...peaches..."

He smiled.

"He's running from peaches?"

He looked conflicted for a second.

"...he...just...peaches..."

"What about peaches? Did he turn into them?" Playing along like this was quite amusing.

Except, Mars ruined all his fun by waking up after a few more seconds. He looked quite panicked until he realized where he was. He saw Priestly and frowned, however.

"Are you going to let go of me?" he asked with a smile.

He blinked and let go of him, but for once, his face didn't blush red at all.

"...you know." He said quietly. "...I think I should leave."

"Why? You've learned nothing, and we haven't even found your demon yet."

"Your behavior is disgusting and I don't want to be around it." He yawned, stretching out.

"Sorry I choose to carry you into a bed rather than let you lay there in the cold and get sick."

Mars slapped him, though he was still waking up so it was weak.

"You know exactly what I mean! I can't condone your 'hobbies' and I want nothing to do with your personal life! So, I'm leaving. I'm finding somewhere else to live."

He shrugged and walked out of the room.

"I'll see you when you get back."

"Wait, I didn't finish!" Mars called.

"Neither did I, and they're waiting!" he called back.

Mars just threw up his arms in defeat.

"Fine, don't hear me out, you jerk." He growled to himself.

He stuck his head back into the room.

"Come on, kiddo, I thought you said your were sick of me--you know I love you."

Mars smiled, just a tiny bit.

"I never said I wasn't going to visit you. I just...need more space." He tried to explain. "A lot more space."

He smiled sadly, sighing.

"...Okay. Go and clear your head--but come back when you need my help, and I mean the moment you need my help, you hear?" His voice was serious. "Don't get yourself killed--no matter what you may think of me, protecting you is my duty."
