"Okay, good." She replied, nodding. "Oh, also...if it's not too much to ask, could I get a milkshake?"

He grinned broadly.

"Of course. Though I'm afraid you might bring all the boys to the yard..." He waved over a waiter. "One milkshake for the lady."

"What?" She asked, confused. Pop culture was not here strong suit.

"Oh, nothing," he said. "Merely implying that you have a nice enough milkshake to bring all the boys to the yard--it's not important."

"...kay." She replied, fiddling with her rosary.

Priestly laughed. This girl was so adorable.

"It was a compliment, dear--mean to flatter you."

"...I don't get it." She insisted, feeling her face turn red anyway.

"It means you're a very lovely woman."

"...You shouldn't say those sorts of things to me, then." She insisted, blushing.

"Why not?" he asked mischievously. "It's very true--you're a gorgeous young lady."

"Well, stop it!" She insisted, crossing her arms. "I don't want you to!"

"I apologize, Carmel--it's in my nature." He winked flirtatiously, waggling his eyebrows.

She kicked him under the table.

"Ouch," he laughed. "I wouldn't hit me if I were you. I'm just going to warn you. You won't be amused."

She frowned suddenly.

"...why?"

"I like it," he replied, laughing. "Strange, I know, but it's not normally an issue."

"...I don't get it." She replied, just as the waitress brought her a milkshake. She took a hearty sip.

Priestly watched her as he ate a strawberry in the most sexually suggestive manner possible.

"I enjoy when people hit me. Sometimes, they do it while I have sex with them, for fun. It feels nice."

"...Never mind. Forget I asked." She mumbled, taking a spoonful of milkshake into her mouth.

He laughed loudly.

"My, you're cute. Are you sure you won't marry me?"

She wrinkled her nose.

"I'm not interested in marriage or relationships at all."

"It's an expression, dear," he explained. "My desire to make you into a woman is unrelated."
