Start of Something New

"It's true!" Blair replied, forcing Yuri to look at him. "Who cares about the movie, this is important. I swear, if you tell me you don't think you're good looking..."

He laughed slightly. "You, of all people, shouldn't have self-esteem problems. You're probably one of the only good people I've ever meet, you know that?"

Somewhere, Blair realized he really should just shut up and not tell Yuri any of his feelings. It would only make things more complicated. But he didn't stop, because he really liked Yuri and this was important to him.

Yuri gave Blair a confused look.

"...What are you talking about, Blair? This is getting mean. I know I'm not good-looking--no one makes fun of good-looking people. They have friends and luck and happiness. I'm just some lonely weird kid, okay? And I know it. So please, don't make fun of me--I get enough of that at school.

"Come on, let's just watch the movie."

He looked incredibly hurt.

"Yuri, I wouldn't lie to you." He replied sternly. "I definitely won't make fun of you. I'm not that type of person, you should know that."

He wrapped his arms around him, pulling him into a warm hug. "You're adorable. Don't disagree with me because it's true."

He laughed quietly, struggling against Blair.

"Blair, if that's true, why haven't I had friends since elementary school? I mean, look at you--tons of friends." Though he smiled, there was no happiness in it.

"...You're kidding, right?" He asked, looking completely confused. "I only have one friend. Those people aren't my friends. Trust me. They aren't my friends at all."

He sighed heavily, shaking his head.

"...You're the only friend I have, Yuri." He pulled him closer and was about to kiss him before he froze. Wait. No, this was not the right time to do this at all. He hadn't even told Yuri he was attracted to him, much less like this.

Awkwardly, he pulled away. He tried to keep his face from turning red, but it was impossible.

He stared, understandably bewildered.

"...Blair? Are you okay?" He placed his hand on Blair's cheek, then his forehead. "You look pink in the face--do you have a fever, or something?"

"N-no!" He replied, pushing Yuri away. "I-I...I'm just, uhm, tired. I'm gonna go to bed...now."

"...Blair, it's four p.m.," he said, squinting. He crawled on top of Blair's lap again.

"Seriously, are you okay? If there's something on your mind, you can tell me--you know I don't care, even if it's somethign weird. You can tell me anything. That's why we became friends, right?"

Having Yuri on his lap at that moment was probably not the best thing. Now that he had thought about kissing him, his mind had, ultimately, wandered to thinking about other things. Lots of other things. And then, with Yuri on his lap...

Well, it wasn't really Blair's fault, he has needs! Plus, he's a repressed, gay teenager. Of course he's going to get an awkward boner the second his male friend sits on his lap.

"...Do I still have to tell you, or did you figure it out?"

Yuri blushed, slowly sliding off of Blair's lap.

"...Sorry. I know you're gay--I probably shouldn't have done that, huh? Awkward." He chuckled nervously, toying with his hair.

"Um, if you need to go jerk off or whatever, you can do it in my room...sorry."

He buried his face in his hands.

"...No. That's not...it's not because of that." He grumbled. "...not entirely, anyway."

"...Well, why else? I mean, I am a guy, so it makes sense." He shrugged. "I mean, I'm not gonna judge you for it. I like dudes too."

"No! It's not just because you're a dude!" He insisted, groaning loudly. "...it's because I like you."

He really wished he could just disappear right about now.

Yuri didn't say anything at first; he just stared in silence.

"...You're...you're not joking?" he asked. Though he tried to act calm, his ears turned red; he could hear his heart pounding in his chest.

"I...I...oh...you want to, uh, have sex?" The words sounded strange coming out of his mouth; he'd never used them before.

He glanced up at Yuri.

"W-wait...now?" He asked, confused. "I mean, I'm sure you mean...later, right?"

"I don't know!" he said truthfully. "You're the one who wants it, right? Do you want it now?" He glanced away awkwardly, adjusting his pajama shirt.

"...You know, if you had just said something, I would've said yes."

This was such a disaster.

"...Of course I want it now." He mumbled awkwardly. "I-I just don't think...it's the best time. I-I mean, I'd rather just...kiss you, at the least."

God, he didn't think he would ever be this embarrassed ever again in his whole life.

He looked at Blair seriously.

"Blair, if all you want is sex, it's fine. I get it...I'm curious too, so it's a yes, okay? Even though I'm your friend, it's fine. Should I...should I kiss you first?" He leaned closer.

Instead of answering, he wrapped his arms around Yuri and pulled him into a kiss. After all, he had had sex before. More times than he ever wanted to, since those times involved women, but still. He knew mostly what he was doing. More than Yuri, that was for sure.

Yuri kissed back with surprising eagerness; he had always wanted to try something like this, after all. He awkwardly touched Blair on the arm, hoping it was kind of sexy.

If it was just sex, it was fine, right? He could handle that. No raised expectations, just two people doing something for mutual benefit. It would be fine. At least, he hoped it would be.

Unfortunately, as Blair deepened the kiss, his thoughts were exactly the same. If it was just sex, it was fine. It wasn't like they were going to start dating and get attached, or anything.

Deep down he knew. But he ignored it. He tried to pretend he didn't already know how things were going to end, as he ran his tongue across Yuri's lips.

Yuri shuddered, pulling away in a momentary panic.

"...S-sorry," he said quickly. "I wasn't expecting--I was...hey, how about we go to my room? I mean, I have a bed. It's easier that way, right?"

He picked up the remote, stopping the movie; he knew they were probably never going to finish it now. He stood up, awkwardly pulling his pajama shirt over his shoulder.

"I mean, I have some stuff we could use, too, so it should be fine. We'll be fine."

Blair flushed red.

"N-no, I'm just...used to moving quickly." He replied, feeling even more embarrassed. He awkwardly stood up, stretching slightly. "...You have stuff?"

He was kind of curious as to what exactly Yuri had and why. Or how.

"Well I mean I'm a guy, so I have lubricant," he said, shrugging. "I've seen gay porn before--we're gonna need it. Though I guess you know more than I do, so I'll just do what you say." He toyed with his hair again, not looking at Blair as they walked up to his room.

"Um, get on the bed?" he said awkwardly.

He laughed, slightly, relaxing just a tad.

"If you've watched porn, you probably know more than I do. I'm not...very experienced." He sat down on the bed, taking his shirt off in one smooth motion. "I've only ever been with women, anyway..."
