A Forced First Date Is Not Usually A Good One

Renee signed at her, suddenly feeling a deep regret welling in her stomach. She swallowed it down, and finished signing at her. Though she knew it didn't matter, and that Lydia couldn't understand her.

She turned and left, feeling strangely bad about the entire date.

Lydia called after her, but it was no use. She sank down in her chair and did not stand for some time.

As soon as she saw Lydia, she wanted to throttle Max. He was smiling, but sweat dripped down his neck. She slapped him on the arm, signing to him angrily. He just laughed. Nervously.

The silence was especially grating to Max today. The classroom was deserted. It was Friday, so school had cleared out especially early.

Lydia smiled at Renee, then nudged Max with her elbow.

"Tell her I just want to talk," she commanded.

After the brief exchange, Max said, "Renee says she's not interested in talking."

"Tell her I'm sorry for the other night and I want to make it up to her," she dictated, crossing her arms. "Tell her I have something to give her."

Renee punched Max in the arm, even thiugh it wasn't him speaking. She signed angrily to him, hitting him again at the end.

Max sighed painfully.

"She says that she'll take the gift, but she's adamant about not going on anymore dates. She also wants me to hit you but uhm, no thanks."

"If you hit me, you'll break your scrawny fist," she scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Tell Renee...tell Renee I think she's beautiful, and I'm so sorry, and I'll do anything if she'll give me a chance. Tell her anything she wants to hear, even--I'll do anything."

She slicked back her hair and toyed with the zipper of her leather jacket.

"This will take a while," Max replied, turning back to Renee. For a few minutes, they signed back and forth heatedly, and Renee was sure to punch Max a fair amount. When it ended, Max looked tired. "Lydia, she says she'll go on a second date with you, but only if it's at her house while her parents are home."

Lydia's face brightened considerably.

"Ask her when. Tell her I'd love to, and I'm so happy, and I'm really grateful, and she's so, so pretty...but don't make me sound like too much of a fucking sap, okay? If she changes her mind, I'll hurt you."

Max cringed at the very thought. He spoke with Renee again, and when he finished, he sighed once more.

"Today or never, right now. She wants you to walk her home."

Lydia's heart skipped a beat.

"Yes, I'll do it, definitely!" She grabbed her backpack and Max's arm. "I can't get a new phone until next Thursday, so you're coming with."

"What? No, sh-she was really insistent about me not coming!" He replied, and Renee nodded in agreement, shoving Max out of the way. She grabbed Lydia's arm, knowing she'd be too preoccupied to notice Max fleeing. Renee would just have to write, and she knew she'd be able to get by on that. Besides, there wouldn't be much talking going on.

"If this goes South, I'll kick your ass!" she shouted back at Max, but she didn't really mean it; she was far too happy to think about such things. She reached for Renee's hand, sighing dreamily.

It was a short walk, but Renee lived on the nice hill across from the school. She opened the door to her house, glancing around to make sure that her father's were both gone. The house was very strange. Filled from wall to wall with all sorts of nerdy merchandise. Renee moved to her room, which was the complete opposite of her clothing. Bright and colorful, the walls and ceiling painted to look like the galaxy. It was beautiful. Posters adorned the walls, of every scifi known to man. Star Strek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Mass Effect.

Renee set her things down and turned to Lydia, waiting for her reaction.

Lydia smiled, and said something as she looked at the posters.

Renee frowned. A better reaction than she'd hoped for. She pointed to a pad of paper on her nightstand. It was filled with conversations between her friends who didn't sign.

She pulled a pen out of her backpack and flipped to a new page in the notebook, where she began to write furiously.

"Your room is really cool," she scrawled in almost illegible print. "I like Star Trek and Star Wars and Doctor Who a lot, though I don't know the guy on your Doctor Who poster? It seems so new"

"He's 11. New, writing sucks, but he's hot, so I tolerate it." She wrote. "Never mind. My parents won't be home until late. Let's have sex."

"He looks older than that," she replied, frowning. "What season is he from?"

Then she reread what Renee had written, and almost dropped her pen.

"WHAT ARE YOU SURE?" she scrawled with a trembling hand, her face a bright scarlet. She had never fucked a woman before.

"Yes," she wrote simply, unbuttoning her shirt. It took her a while before her bra was even visible.

Lydia backed up against the wall, pressing herself against the eleventh Doctor. She shook her head and gestured with her hands, nervously yelling something Renee couldn't hear.

Renee supressed a smile. This was the reaction she wanted. She let the dress fall to her knees. Beneath it, she wore rather covering lingerie.

Lydia desperately reached for the pad of paper and pen again, avoiding so much as bumping into Renee.

"We really don't have 2 do this!!" she scrawled. "I really just wanted to talk and get 2 know u and make u like me...so if u think I'm gonna hurt u, don't, it's okay, we ca just talk I promise"

"Have sex with me or leave," she wrote, giddy. This was working perfectly.
