Neither One Of Them Is Very Priestly

"Do you really want me to?" he asked simply.

He grumbled, but he didn't answer because the answer was an obvious 'no'. Of course Mars didn't want him to stop. He could already feel his jeans becoming tighter, anyway.

"Tell me honestly that you want it," he said, moving his fingers more insistently.

"N-no!" He protested, attempting to move away, but he only ended up pressed against the door of the car uncomfortably. "I...I don't!"

"Then you may leave," he said seriously, shrugging.

Mars glared at him, flushed completely red.

"...f-fine." He mumbled, looking away. "...s-so what if...maybe I do, b-but..."

Mars blinked, waking up from his daydream. Awkwardly, he coughed up and adjusted his shirt, glancing at Priestly.

"...are we at the burger place?" He asked, frowning deeply.

"Yes," said Priestly, smiling brightly. "I finally found a place that offers a double bacon cheeseburger. Now, what would you like to order?"

"Uh...I just want a cheeseburger with everything on it." He replied, not making eye contact.

He nodded happily. "Excellent. Are the burgers good here, do you know? I certainly hope they are, it feels as though it's been years since I've had one."

"Uh, I guess so." He replied, glancing over at Priestly. "I have burgers all the time, but normally they're homemade...

"Do you cook a lot? I can't cook at all."

"I cook all the time," he said brightly. "I should come back and make something for you, sometime."

"Come back?" He asked, confused. "Oh...that...reminds me."

He adjusted his position in the seat, leaning over slightly in Priestly's direction. "Uhm...you travel a lot, right? Is it hard? Because I can't drive, and I'm only sixteen, so I think if I traveled a lot I'd have to use the bus, which is okay, but is having a car better? Because...I want to make good time in tracking down the demon I'm looking for."

"Driving is the best," he said without hesitation. "You get where you're going faster without having to get pissed on by a crazy homeless man. Not that there's much shameful about that. Why do you ask? Are you going on a trip? I wouldn't suggest traveling alone at sixteen--it's a frightful experience, people try to take advantage of you."

"I'm going hunting." He replied, furrowing his eyebrows. "I'm going hunting, to kill the demon that killed my family. So...driving is better. I guess I'll look into lessons, once I get some money..."

He sighed, talking aloud. "I don't think I'll get taken advantage of. I'm not worried about that...I just don't want to have to take buses. It seems expensive, but...then again, how am I supposed to save up to buy a car? Or lessons? It could take years..."

He sighed again, shaking his head.

"Hey now," said Priestly, pulling up to the window. "Revenge isn't something someone your age should be planning to waste their life on. Please. Especially not alone--you could get hurt. You know your family wouldn't want that."

"Yes they would have!" He said immediately. "Why do you think my father gave me this rosary?"

He pulled it from his shirt, holding it in his hand. "It's for hunting. It's my family heirloom. My family was a family of hunters, for as long as they've been in America. This is what they want me to do."

Priestly handed Mars his burger, frowning deeply.

"I don't think your family would have wanted your death, no."

He snatched his burger.

"I'm not going to die!" He insisted angrily, unwrapping his burger. "I'm going to kill the demon, no matter what. I refuse to die until he's dead."

He took an angry bite, sulking. Priestly was just being a jerk.

"A sixteen year old hunter alone doesn't have a good chance against something that wiped out a family. Please be reasonable--I'd hate to see a cute young thing like you die." Priestly parked and took a bite of him burger. "Mmmm...this is delicious," he rhapsodized.

"Fine, then while I'm hunting him, I'll train. Then, in a few years, I'll kill him." He replied, chewing angrily. "It doesn't matter when or how, just that it happens."

"It's silly to think you can handle it alone," he asserted. "Find help or give up, if you want to remain in one piece."

"Then you help me." He insisted. "None of the hunters my parents knew will help me, or even train me, so then if you don't want me to die, then you do it! Because I'm not giving up!"

"...I will help you, then," he said without much struggle. He took another satisfying bite of his cheeseburger.

"Good!" He replied, before really thinking about what he was saying. "W-wait...you mean it? You'll teach me how to hunt?"
