A Fairly Gay Christmas Special

"There's another one?" he asked incredulously. "I never even saw the first. Anyway, why do you want to be seen at a movie theater with me--doesn't it look like a date?"

Blair sighed. Was Yuri really this dense? How much more blatant did he have to get about his intentions?

"It's to formalize our truce." He fibbed. "My treat."

"...Okay," he said, smiling slightly. "Sure there're no strings attached? I don't have to do you as payment or something?" He hoped his voice didn't sound too hopeful when he said the last part.

Blair cracked a smile at that, but he quickly tried to hide it.

"S-stop being a faggot." He said, without any real conviction in his voice. It was fairly obvious he wasn't being serious at all.

"I'll stop when you do," he replied in the same joking manner, smiling. "Just...you better not try to ditch me if you change your mind, okay?"

Blair nodded.

"I won't." He promised. "Don't worry about it, this time."

His smile widened.

"...Okay. Good." He held the front door open for Blair. "So, are we supposed to hold hands or something?" he joked.

He laughed a bit.

"Yeah, right." He replied sarcastically. "Real funny."

"What theater are we going to, anyway?" he asked. "The mall has food but the other one's closer and it's snowing out."

"How hungry are you?" He asked as he walked to his car.

"Haven't eaten breakfast," he replied. "Couldn't find the cereal with all the baked stuff everywhere." he glanced at Blair curiously.

"You sure have been buying a lot of that stuff lately, huh?" He shook away the snow that had accumulated in his hair and climbed into the passenger seat. "Hey, turn on the heating, would you?"

Blair looked away from Yuri as he turned on the heat, trying to hide his embarrassed blush.

"I've been hungry for sweets." He lied. Actually, at this point, he was downright sick of them. "A-anyway, we'll go to the mall."

"Kay," he said, smiling softly. "Do you even have--oh. Duh. Never mind, of course you have money. Must be easy Christmas shopping, huh?" He did his best to make conversation, wanting to keep this light mood for as long as possible.

"No." He said bluntly. "I'm terrible at it. I never know what anyone wants. It's annoying."

He sighed. "Not that it matters. I never get anything good myself. That's probably why I'm terrible at gift shopping."

Yuri began to chuckle. He tried to hide it, but it was uncontrollable.

Blair shot him a glare.

"What? What's so funny?" He asked, obviously embarrassed. He couldn't hide his blush while driving, which only aggravated him more.

"It's just really kind of funny, in a sad way," he said finally, still smiling. "In a way, neither of us have ever gotten proper Christmas presents. Blair, can I make you a promise? I'll get you something really nice, this year. That way it can be a first for both of us." He laughed again, shaking his head.

"For some reason, you're the first person to do a lot of things with me...it's nice."

Blair smiled, a small, happy smile.

"...Sounds good." He said, trying to sound nonchalant. He knew he didn't, but he didn't care. After all, he liked Yuri.

"Though I suppose you're also kind of a douche for being the first person to randomly dump me," he mused, casting Blair a sideways glance. "But it's okay--I don't really blame you."

Blair scowled at that.

"You don't blame me?" He asked incredulously.

"Well, yeah," he said, surprised. "Everyone thinks I'm creepy as fuck. It makes sense that someone would dump me sooner or later, right? I'm used to this kind of thing." He grinned. "I'm the one without any friends, remember? The creepy psycho Satanist. Couldn't get a girl if I paid her."

"Feh." He scoffed. He was entirely unimpressed with Yuri's woes, dealing with his own social outcasting at the moment. Of course, he wasn't usually the outcast, but he didn't really mind. "No friends are better than fake friends."

"I have both," he replied with a laugh.

"...mh." He replied indifferently. Actually, he wasn't entirely sure how to take that comment...

"Well, I used to, at least," he continued. "But after a while, it wasn't cool to call them friends anymore--they're just dolls. So I guess I'm completely alone, huh?"
